We'll never really know. But it's hard to argue with so many people who agree that he would be great.

We could say the same about Jackie Chan who is still alive. Yet Jackie might be hesitant to step into a ring because boxing was not his main strength. Not saying he hasn't stepped inside before.
thats bull. look at the guy. look at his form. look at the light impact of his punches on an obviously very light heavybag, and how he keeps his hands low. how do you figure he would do good at all in boxing?

I already know someone is going to bring up his fitness level, which was extraordinary. but even that doesnt mean he would do well in boxing.

look up someone named Paddy Doyle, who holds world records in almost every fitness competition across the board. the guy could do 2512 one armed pushups in an hour, which puts Bruce Lee to shame.

and whats funny is that he did do some boxing, but never made it past the
amateur level. at least he competed, unlike someone named bruce Lee.

Bruce Lee had a little boxing background in amateurs and did very well, but obivously pursued other avenues

1958 Pu Chang Hong Kong KO 2
1958 Yang Huang Hong Kong KO 1 Amateur Boxing
1958 Lieh Lo Hong Kong KO 1 Amateur Boxing
1958 Shen Yuen Hong Kong KO 1
1958 Gary Elms Hong Kong KO 3

I dont get it, am I supposed to be surprised by that? the guy he pushed probably didnt weigh more than 130lbs. Its surprisingly easy to push someone over when their feet are parrellel and straight.

besides, people can break through concrete blocks. doesnt mean they can automatically break open skulls in boxing, does it?

Who cares? He's dead now. There is more to fighting than boxing.

yea, and who the hell are these guys? Ive heard this bull story about Gary Elms being a 'champion', except for the fact he doesnt exist. and if he did, he was a never an amateur champion in any way.

even Andrew Hartley can get wins in boxing if faced against the right guys.

                  Uhh.....yeah.........could happen.
I understand what you're saying...along the lines of Mike Tyson in his prime takes Bruce Lee out fast. But, the question to that is: Does Bruce Lee get to use his kicks? If so, the Flying Dragon Kick makes Mike go to sleep pretty quick. If it's by boxing rules only, then Lee would need a big ring to have a go at it.

Most who knew him personally would disagree with you.

That was not the only heavy bag he trained on. And besides, he trained on a heavy bag to develop power in his punches much like everyone else does. Hand positions, for defense purposes, are irrelevant at this point.
Anyone can hit a heavy bag any way they please. It's not like the bag is hitting back.

How do you know if he did or did not change hands positions in other training sessions based on this short clip?

I'm sure there were many feats of strength performers that topped what Bruce and Paddy Doyle did. That's not the point here.

Peeps dont know bout how much Lee loved boxing as well..
He loved watching Ali and would shabow box alongside Ali in a fight copying his every move

He was asked if he'd fight him and he said i would but look at these little chinese fists he said he would stand no chance
