Berlanga needs to stay away from this fight. Even semi retired Jacobs could possibly end his career.

If this is true something must be wrong with Jacobs in order for Matchroom to make this fight.

The fallout if he lost the first fight of the deal, on this weekend, would be significant.

Berlanga has not shown he has the skill set to beat Jacobs. Maybe a punchers chance if that.

Jacobs has slipped. He's 36 and while that may not be ancient he has also battled cancer. I thought his loss to Ryder was legit.

True. but Berlanga has looked extremely poor as hes fought better comp.

If Jacobs is 100%, I have a hard time seeing him lose.

I guess hes slipped more than I realize.

Who do you have between these two: Edgar Belanga vs. Danny Jacobs.

            Blockbuster fight for the summer.
dont know that I agree its a "blockbuster", but it definitely is a good measuring stick as to where Berlanga is........

I thought Jacobs looked poor vs Ryder. I could see Berlanga outworking him for a decision

                Maybe Jacobs takes a dive?

Mos def not a blockbuster fight. Could either be all bad for Edgar or a coming out for him. Jacobs SHOULD win imo but if Berlanga wins, this will not only be the best win of his career but also egg on Arums face..

That is an interesting gamble for Team Berlanga. I think Berlanga can win the fight, but he will have not to overthink and do what he does best. Danny Jacobs has lacked passion in the ring since the Golovkin fight. He has all the talent in the world but isn't that interested. He did just enough to lose to Canelo; then he did just enough to beat Rosado.

Fight really might come down to who's more inspired that night and willing to take risks. Both guys can ****, although you wouldn't know it based on their most recent performances.

Fair play if they take that, pretty tough fight. I would’ve thought Munguia would fight Jacobs instead.
