I judge the events case by case, not equating things based on a number of similarities. That's a very color blind way of looking at things.

And this is a threat about what Wlad is saying. I dunno what Vietnam war has to do with this but yet you guys wanna whatabout everything irrelevant just like ***** wants you to. The Ukrainian war is happening now and things should be done about it now.

Corporations are not evil or good. There are responsible ones and horrible ones. There are horrible politicians and decent ones. There are bad people and decent people and everything in between. Saddam and ***** are/were horrible people abusing all the power they had.

If democracy is a joke then what would you prefer? FYI all the best countries by any standard are democracies and capitalist countries. Highest quality of life, lowest crime etc. What is the better way that you know of?

And do you think the world gets better on its own? Nobody gives a damn and yet somehow we keep the trend of lessening violence, lessening child mortality, finding cures to deadly disease etc? If not then why is it silly to think Western democracies with objectively the best quality of life help the ones with more issues and problems?

You are an apologist for the atrocities committed by the US.
It is the same malarkey we heard about Iraq. That we need to focus “on what’s happening now” and leave the past behind. Next time we invade some other poor nation with lots of oil, you will be spearing the same thing about what’s relevant and what’s not. That’s why you go into full whataboutism mode by bringing the battle of Troy that happened centuries ago to deflect.

You are no different from the journalists in the clip below. You are apathetic to Vietnamese, Iraqis, Yemenis, Somalis because they are not white, blonde, and blue eyed. You literally sound like these journalists and like Fox News.

Tour response to Fox News is another Whataboutism of what about CNN and the ******* media.

FYI, Saudi Arabia has a lower crime rate than the US. The US ranks last on the list of the top 20 Western nations - it is last on quality of life (health care, crime, gun violence, education system etc).

I’m pretty certain you’ll bring up the high taxes the other nations pay. I will remind you, any sensible American will willingly pay high taxes in exchange for free education (all the way to college), low crime rate, free health care, honest politicians, not being dragged into endless wars etc. But go ahead and throw in your whataboutism

It’s incredible to read things like “But we don't know what kind of a place Iraq would be in 2023 if it wasn't destroyed by war.”.
You just cannot bring yourself to admit that we fücked up Iraq because we are the self appointed world police AKA bullies.

We know exactly what Iraq would be like. Because of our invasion, almost 2 million Iraqis are dead and over 6 million are scattered around the world as refugees. Many of them in the US and will be experiencing racism while being accused of “not changing their culture” or “bringing the backward culture” here. They are coming here because we invaded them and destroyed their once stable country.

Saddam was a dictator but the country wasn’t going through sectarian violence. Iraq had the strongest economy with free health care.
Before that, instigated the Iran-Iraq war where over a million people died.

It is very ironic that the guy who is frothing from his mouth yelling over whatabout Yemen, Iraq, Somalia etc when I was talking about Russia attacking Ukraine is accusing me of whataboutism. Especially as I already agreed Iraq and Vietnam were absolutely wrong.

The fact is nevertheless that Iraq was being run by a mass murdering maniac. It was going to end violently sooner or later as clearly Saddam didn’t learn from the Gulf war. I already agreed the war in Iraq was a mistake and it was wrong and based on falsehood. I was simply saying it’s easy to judge in hindsight. It is also easy to judge appeasement with Hitler in hindsight but it sure as heck was not back then.

USA is trash. All you have to do is cross the border to Canada and it all looks, feels, smells and sounds better and the people are nicer too. So I agree that the US is not the best country for the average person. That would probably be Iceland, Denmark, Norway and Finland who would compete for that prize w Canada. Saudis have low crime rates bcs the country is totalitarian. The people are broken by the government using their religion against them. SA is a horrible country.

And yes, the **********s are taking the middle-class american for a ride with the fear-mongering about communism like with public healthcare. It costs less but ppl are against it for emotional reasons bcs then someone else besides the insurance broker will benefit from their ”hard earned money!”

As you see, we have more in common than you think when you dont just rush in to be offended by everything someone says without even tryna understand. I hate fox news btw and haven’t watched since like late 2000’s and back then I hated it tho I was just a teenager.

But this ”you’re racist bcs you disagree with me” is a very tired trope and you would do better in life not to use it as it makes you seem like an irrational and emotional man-baby.

Finally, your response makes sense. You didn’t go on defending the same POV over and over.

As for Saudi Arabia, sure it’s a totalitarian regime but they have universal health care abd free education all the way to college. In fact, Saudi Arabia sends the highest number of international students to the US (including UK, France and Australia) than any other Gulf country. All paid for, of course.

I’m pretty sure if we had strict rules in the US our crime rate would drop by 90%. Look at how people are getting off after committing crimes. Those that can afford lawyers rarely go to prison. I could list many examples but I think you already know them.

You could just compare Germany to California and California’s crime rate is 50 times worse than Germany. Look at drunk driving offenses that leads to death. California beats Germany and because we are too laxed. In Germany, drunk driving will cost you to lose your license for life. And that’s why it works.

Right. With America the problem isn't just the system, it's the culture. The country looks like its people and the people in America are divided and doing a lot of infighting over things of minute importance while the super rich are laughing on the way to the bank. And the banks own the world. It's a system of collecting from the many for the few and in America people take pride in getting f.cked by the banks bcs at least it's not communism.

I personally would rather live in USA than in Saudi Arabia as I would put myself in higher statistical risk for the exchange of freedom. What comes to crime the sentences in US are higher than for example in Finland and yet the crime rates are higher in the US. The problem is in US the prison system is a business which means lobbying for the prison system which obviously has been successful. This is one of the themes about America - the common good and humane values are completely trumped (or Trumped lol) by profit and business.

And despite the American military-intelligence industry having a lot to gain from the Ukraine war it is not the fault of USA. Only Russia is responsible bcs they attacked. War is not justified and this one particularly. And for the entire world this war is a shackle that hurts the common folk the most. Therefore I say f the Russian athletes, go protest against the war if you want to play Olympic and other games. People are dying bcs the Russian people are supporting their monstrous government in their delusional campaign aimed to grasp some power in the global political landscape. And that was my entire position: Klitschko is completely right here.

I agree with you with everything you wrote . We have a big problem in the US and as you stated, the culture here is stronger than the system.

My issue with Russia is simple. If all the countries came together to ban Russian athletes from the Olympics, it would make more sense. The US has lost credibility to the rest of the world and is in no position to dictate terms unless we just bulldozed our way through everything.

Look at the Trans community today for example. The Olympics is allowing men who have transitioned to women to compete with women. That’s asinine. The Trans women will destroy the competition. Guess what? The US disregards the rest of the world and will force this on the Olympics.
