Based on your response, I could bring up the overthrow of a ********ically elected President in Iran in 1953 by the US and you’d find ways to justify that. I could mention Iran-Iraq war, Libya, Somalia, Yemen, Chile, the assassination of Patrice Lumumba of Zaire by the CIA, etc and you’d still find ways to excuse the US.

Well you could and again I would agree with some of those and disagree with others as I judge case by case. Even Vietnam was not comparable to Ukraine bcs there was an absolute fear of communism in the West. It was a situation where democracy was afraid for its survival. But for the most part I agree that wars are wrong and invading a sovereign country is never justified since usually it produces more misery, death and poverty than even the worst of dictatorships produce. US has done horrible things and considered even worse things like Northwoods.

Russia has literally nothing to fear as it is the only aggressive dictatorship in Europe and EU has tried, despite the warning signs, to be friends and build the relationship. This is how Russia pays back. From history the closest thing is the 1930's and how Hitler started his aggressive foreign policy. Hitler and ***** see compromise and non-aggression as weakness and they sought to abuse it. Everyone with half a brain know that if Russia was to win in Ukraine it would only be a matter of time until the next country was invaded. And yet European countries are trying to avoid escalating the war. But there is no appeasement this time like back then. Allowing Russia to take Crimea so lightly was already as mistake and a bad signal to the bloodthirsty Russian leadership. We know what happens when megalomaniac dictators get their way. Ukraine mustn't fall because then Europe falls into truly bad times and another arms race. Nobody wants that besides certain Russian elite maybe. When Russia is defeated and forced to retreat, they will have to rethink their foreign policy and only good things will follow from that.

Bigger picture....this war is not just about the Ukraine it's about all of Europe, it's about a global power shift away from the West and democracy.....period.

If ***** turns Ukraine into a parking lot and he makes good on on his promise to take Finland and Poland... and then what? It will suck every country into it, a global war, there is no other way around it. China will step in because it's in their best interest and their best play. As it stands, based upon the numbers, China's economy is statistically soon to be white dwarf and they know it. China will take Taiwan while the US is preoccupied and with it just about all chip production. From that point, all manufacturing around the earth will need the blessings of China to exist. Trump saw it and so does *****, the policies haven't changed. Make no mistake, this is not Iraq or Irain or oil or any of the other historically shytty thing. This is about setting the stage to seize global power by force. BTW, the Saudis, our buddies, are lining up with Russia, Italy will turn on the US and so will Germany because in order to survive they'll have absolutely no choice.

That said, I like Beterbiev and don't particularly like Vlad but he's right, Russia should be banned for much bigger reasons than the Olympics or boxing.

Wlad is right. Russians should be excluded and if that means the boxers go hungry maybe they will protest against the war, which is good. This should happen.
