I get why they feel 50/50 isn’t right if it’s in the UK, when one fighter brings bigger numbers. But I refuse to believe some real deal can’t be made, especially with it being a 2 fight deal. Just go 50/50 on the first one. It’s probably the right thing to do.

I guess it’s easy for us to sit here when we aren’t the ones making money and giving percentages away that we don’t feel is justified when one fighter brings in much bigger numbers than the other. I understand that part too, it’s a business.

If it’s something like 55/45, that could be justified in the UK and I think Usyk not budging to that would be silly.

but if Fury and his team are asking for anything more significant, then it’s on them if it doesn’t get made.

Agreed. If this fight doesn't get made, I'm changing my profile pic & user title to something USYK related.

I still believe the fight will get done

if it’s in the UK, then I think Usyk will probably accept a lesser split, but not by much and I think that is probably the sensible thing to do on his part

Of course Usyk’s team are going to be adamant of 50/50, who starts negotiating low?

Fury’s team look at this and know they can sell out that stadium against some other fighters, if they did v Whyte. And they won’t have to pay them 50%…

Thats where the sensible negotiating comes in. Can Usyk leave 45% or so on the table and get paid more elsewhere? Highly unlikely. He could fight someone else, get a bigger split but the fight would generate much less. Fury could offer Joe Joyce an 80/20 split and sell out that stadium and a load of PPV’s and make a load of money. That’s really why Fury and team has the upper hand in the negotiations and will try to use it. The belts don’t matter.

I’d prefer 50/50 as a fan, but it’s not my money and investment on the line

It just needs to be sensible, Fury should not demand an unfair split. And I’m sure Usyk’s team are smart enough to realise accepting slightly less than 50% is still going to earn them some serious money.

Im sure they all understand their jobs and know everyone can make a lot of money with a bit of compromise.

It’s nothing new. It’s literally these peoples jobs to negotiate a fight.

It's possible all these mixed messages are hype or mind games by Fury to unsettle Usyk. We'll find out soon. Let's hope Krassyuk's optimism is justified.

Warren should keep his word if he said that..

But promoters lie and greed comes into play, that’s why I posted what I did in my last post, that Fury and his team will feel they have an upper hand financially if the fight is in the UK and there’s no way they’re not going to try to use that to get more money in this fight

Whether it’s right or wrong, it’s irrelevant. It’s peoples jobs to negotiate fights, and that’s what they’re doing now.

As a fan, I’d say split it down the middle and get in the ring, but I’m not the one with a promotional business investing millions into the fight.

It seems like it's George Warren who is doing the negotiations, but presumably Frank will have the final say.

So still no real source and just another one of the 100 boxing rumours.

PBC gain nothing from sending Wilder to UK for Fury. Financially a lot less than the 1st 3 would have made and another loss to him will be even more damaging.

Im still certain Usyk fight happens and if it doesn't it'll be Ngannou they can hype that up as a big fight

fheres no way this is even an option surely?

if he swerved Usyk he MUST fight Joshua or Joyce in Wembley. Another Wilder fight would be just disgusting.

Rumours going around social media and boxing blogs that Fury is in secret negotiations with Wilder, hopefully it's bs.

That would be a disgrace if a 4th fight happens. Wilder in an interview they asked him if he was still mad at Fury and if he would punch him. He said that why would he punch him for free when he will get paid for it.

I really hope it does not happen.
