That’s why they booked Wembley

considering the money available in Saudi, I think they would still be pushing to get the fight there if it was possible. So it seems like it’s off the table for whatever reason, but I did hear is was down to them not being able to give a concrete date, not because of anyone’s deal.

But that could mean this fight isn’t next. Maybe they think the Usyk fight should still happen in the Middle East, so are willing to push it back until this stadium is done and fight someone else in meantime. I really hope not.

This fight needs to happen next, I’ve no interest in seeing them fight anyone but each other.
I don’t buy that tbh man, I’ve seen it reported myself but it just doesn’t make sense to me. One, the Saudi’s don’t care about ticket revenue, that’s not why they’re trying to buy this fight and two, why not just put it in the Super Dome where they had the Usyk-AJ fight and have the WWE events, that seats 35-40,000 I believe. Surely they wouldn’t turn away the opportunity to host a super fight over a stadium not being ready.

Yeah I agree, I mean I’d watch Fury-Joyce/Joshua or Usyk vs Wilder but the only fight that matters at HW is Fury vs Usyk. I’m sick of the undisputed fight being delayed, we had Joshua & Wilder and they failed to deliver it, then Fury & Joshua and they failed to deliver it, and now Fury & Usyk, if they fail to deliver the undisputed fight we may as well just give up on it altogether.

****'Em was a complete nut job. He once started a thread "outing" me as the guy who runs a YT boxing channel called Sporting Icons and threatening to go to Newcastle and do me over. I have no connection with that channel and no idea why he thought I ran it. Like I said, a complete nut job.

Yeah **** Em it was, he was a nutter, he probably topped himself after the Usyk rematch.

I remember those guys running round here claiming AJ was the second coming of Ali, Tyson, Marciano and Louis all rolled into one. Funny times…

Just funny when it isn't even Fury holding up negotiations apparently it's bob arum saying Usyk doesn't deserve 50% which is true tbh it's funny how people like to get involved in negotiations when their man is A side but it's cool to hate on Fury now so he has to take 50/50. I want the fight as much as anybody but people claiming they know what's going on behind the scenes and listening to rumours are silly.

Also talking about going from a Fury profile to Usyk is pretty pathetic equivalent of glory hunting in soccer, fake fans.

Well reminds me of something bodybagz would do and did do change his profile immediately after Wilder lost to Crawford that's pathetic imo just going from one top guy to the other. Usyk is taking the piss too demanding 50% at wembley in the UK ffs? if this was anybody else they would be called greedy fair enough he has most the belts but we all know thats not how business works or what brings the money.

Yes but the issue is, Warren and Team Fury have previously agreed to 50/50, and if Tyson was honest and openly said it's all about the money, people might have more sympathy, but he's not. He's previously insisted that he isn't interested in cash

Fury is a tremendous boxer but you can't believe a word he says.

Usyk isn't about the money at all nope that's why he won't accept less than 50% its "principles" Usyk knows how the business is run now he's been in it long enough he knows he doesn't deserve 50% at Wembley. As i said before Usyk has some kind of protagonist plot armor atm everybody loves him too much to go against him and Fury has talked **** too many times before to be believed but even when he does tell the truth "i will fight Chisora for a 3rd time" < said 50 + times he still gets it in the neck for following through so whatever.

I remember listening to an interview with Warren around that time, maybe the same interview that quote came from. What he said was that the date and location hadn't been set, but the most important part of any negotiations, which was the money, had already been settled, with both men agreeing to a 50/50 split.

I looked at some of the comments in that twitter thread, btw. A lot of jokers talking crap about how quick and easy it is to make an undisputed HW title fight when Eddie Hearn isn't involved.

What do you think about that, mate? They've only been negotiating 7 months and they're already expecting an important announcement in the next few days ... maybe, fingers crossed ...

Frank’s made the typical Hearn mistake of talking before thinking. I don’t know why promoters blabber on about negotiations when nothing is signed.

I think we always knew the targeted site was going to be Saudi. I don’t believe a word that Frank Warren says or any promoter. I expect the money wasn’t actually agreed at that point as both fighters were making separate deals with the Saudi’s. Maybe they agreed to split a certain portion of the revenue down the middle such as PPV revenue or something like that.

                      I will say this.

Tyson Fury is under no obligation to make this fight with Usyk just to please the fans.

This is professional boxing, the fight and event of the undisputed Heavyweight title 'Has to be maximized'.

This is the first undisputed Heavyweight title fight for over 20 years.

Fury is the man fighting the fight, not any of his fans or boxing fans in general.

If Fury does not fight Usyk, but fights another genuine top level fighter. I will have no issue with this.

Far as I can see? The date and venue has been booked, Fury wants his demands met 'If they cannot be met, then this fight is going to be very difficult to make'.

Yes Usyk has more belts, yes he the more overall accomplished fighter 'And he is a big fighter'.

But Usyk cannot quite dictate terms and conditions to Fury. Even more so, because I honestly don't think Fury care as much as people think for titles.

I have always been adamant that Fury dislikes being a Champion. He does not like the idea of mandatory fights or that he is on everyone's radar 'That is why fights are extremely difficult to make with him and his team' Be honest with yourselves? I don't think there has ever been a Heavyweight Champion, who is unnecessarily difficult to work with. And Fury has got to this point because his hardcore fans, don't really appreciate or respect the morals of what it takes to be a Champion.

Fury is not held to a high standard, whether that be who he fights or how he behaves as a Champion.

But it is getting to the point where opponents are just closing in on Fury. The public demand for him to fight the best in the division, regardless of whether he thinks they are worthy 'That public demand is increasing all the time'. This is the life of a Champion, Fury is no longer the Prince of thieves 'He is the king, and fighters are coming for him'.

I have always stated that he does not like this way of life in boxing. It is easier in many ways being the underdog 'Less expectation and pressure, the pressure you have? Is mainly the pressure the fighter puts on themselves'.
