Yeah they pull the exact same sort of BS. I’m not sat here desperately defending them like you do for Hearn though.

Fury, Wilder and Joshua are all full of it, and then Hearn must have some sort of compulsive disorder because it’s just constant bullsh** from him.

My only points were:
- Joshua-Franklin is a mismatch.
- If the Matchroom brass had been more honest about what AJ was going to do next, there would have been far less backlash over Franklin.

I think deep down, you agree with those points but just feel the need to go to bat for your guys.

But , be honest, why you didn`t have the same energy when Fury fought Chisora the third time and when Wilder fought Helenius. Both were big time mismatches obviously.

I'm not a Matchroom guy and I definitely haven't "gone EDL". I never could figure out the connection between Matchroom and EDL in the minds of clowns like RJJ. I think maybe they picked up the habit of labelling anybody who doesn't hate Eddie Hearn as racist from the PBC/Wilder goons. You know the saying - lie down with dogs and you end up with fleas.

Btw, what do you make of AJ vs Franklin? Like I said to RJJ, I think it's an acceptable match-up, given where AJ is right now. It might even turn out to be a tough nights work for him, if he can't blow Franklin out early and starts getting anxious again.

EDL= Eddie Defence League. I’m not calling you a racist and I think you knew that.

You are desperate to defend Eddie though and you were wrong. He did say a top 15 guy, he did mention Wilder. Jermaine Franklin falls well below the standard Hearn outlined.

FTR, I’ve said multiple times I wasn’t judging the logicality of the fight. I just think it’s a trash fight and Franklin is a trash fighter and I think that’s reflected by the ticket sales.

I'm sure that's the plan. I have a feeling Franklin won't be that easy to knock over though. He showed a good chin and survival instincts against Whyte and if you check out his background, he's been boxing since the age of 12 and has a good amateur pedigree. He won the Golden Gloves and was in line for the Olympics when he turned pro.
