Yes its crazy because its the direct opposite of what has been demonstrated in reality. Plant never surges late, he does the opposite he gasses out and slows down, while David wears down his opponents. I guess it must feel nice to just live in an alternate reality but you are confusing what you wish and what is reality.
Same. This is how I imagine it. Benavidez will apply lots of pressure and win the early rounds. He will likely get Plant in trouble early, but I see Plant weathering the storm, surging late and maybe even stopping Benavidez late. I suppose that sounds crazy to a lot of people, but Plant is right when he says that David's previous opponents weren't in the same universe as him. David is feeding off his own hype a bit too much these days and I think that overconfidence is going to be his undoing.
I really think Plant is barely better than the likes of Ellis, Davis and Dirrell tbh. He is a little sharper but the same level of fighter basically. David is in a another league and you will soon see.Comment

Mexico is extremely nationalistic and the fact Benavidez isn’t from Mexico as in born and not full Mexican destroys any chance of him being acknowledged as the next great Mexican warrior.
Countless Chicano greats have tried before him
and failed. No pocho will ever be recognized as a great Mexican champion in a country that has numerous homegrown world champions.Comment

Because in Boxing, Mexico has one of the biggest markets. That also includes Mexican Americans who singlehandedly keep the sport alive stateside. Not just Mexican Americans of course but the Mexican American/ Latino population stateside is one of the biggest fan bases in boxing.
