What fights do you watch?? Only one of my fights has ever ended up on the ground. The rest we've stood up and duked it out. And now that i'm thinking about it, almost all of the fights i've seen have been standing up too. It goes to the ground when someone is knocked down or out. Fights usually over at that point.

I like MMA because it's often exciting to watch (Watch Henderson v. Bisping; Rampage v. Silva; Rashad v. Liddell among numerous others). I hate when they grapple on the ground rolling around and ****. But I'm a fan of a good fight so I watch it. But boxing will forever be my #1

I can't remember a real fight going to the ground since some fights at middle school. In the street or at some kind of gathering (bar, club, concert, etc). You are a ***n dumbass to take someone down. If you do, u are getting kicked in the face, smashed jumped. I don't know where you people are seeing these fair fights. Fights I seen or been in in the last 15 yrs end with someone getting kod quick, jumped and badly beaten, running away, or a bunch of people started fighting.
In school, things were a lil different

You have to be careful in the city a lot of people carry knives and if you let yourself get put down on the ground you can end up getting stabbed, most likely.

No one fights fare anymore. That's why you have to learn how to defend yourself in any way it doesn't matter MMA or Boxing, you just gotta take care of yourself. If I ever have a son i will have him watch a lot of boxing with me and eventually he'll want to box too and i won't hesitate to put him a good boxing gym if he does like boxing.
