A lot of street fights end up on the ground, but not with the guys on the ground grappling, mostly with one on the ground and the other leaning over him hitting him or kicking or stomping him

boxing isnt a get out of jail free card in streetfights, but it sets you in good stead to beat up pretty much anyone of any size in a one on one fight, and gives you a much better chance than the average guy in a stuation like getting jumped by 2 or more guys or getting a weapon pulled on you. And the advantage isnt just physical, it's also mental, most guys tense up and go either crazy or scared when they get hit, a good boxer stays calm and fights back

If you think there are actual rules and etiquett in a street fight then you should just go ahead and just shoot yourself now and get it over with. Street fights are unpredictable and sometime they end up on the ground and sometimes they dont. Which is why Mixed Martial Artists will always be more dangerous than Boxers because they are prepared for anything.

This is what greco roman wresters do in the MMA game. I.E. the term ground and pound.

This is very true especially in the bold. Knowing that i am a boxer, i feel like i'm not the one that is endangered. You kinda have that ****iness to you like okay I know this guy is a street fighter and i'm a boxer the worse he could do to me is pull out a weapon on me.

That's not true. Both boxers and MMA fighters are well prepared for a one on one street fight against a street fighter. I stand firm to my opinion that a boxer has better chance of not going down on the ground cause he's not willing to go down due ot the fact that he has no gorund fighting skills he will give it his all while standing. Trust me you don't wanna try to take down a boxer, you'll eat some real hard uppercuts before you can even grab a boxers leg.

Thats ridiculous!!! The only type of Mixed Martial Artist that wants to be taken to the ground is one with a Ju Jitsu background and thats only because they are well trained in submissons. Mixed Martial Artists with a back ground in Wrestling, Kick Boxing, and Mu Tai don't wanna be taken down anymore than a boxer does and they spend endless training trying to keep the other guys from taking them down. So how in the world is a simple boxer gonna protect himself from getting taken down with no training? On will? Ha dont make me laugh! Kickboxers are just as dangerous with their feet as boxers are with their hands and kickboxing alone does nothing to keep most kickboxers from getting taken down and submitted. So explain to me how how boxers are the exception?

thats wrong homie, i been in and seen hundreds of street fights, and then later working as night club security...i would estimate 80% to 90% of fights went to ground.
