For those who believe Bivol is the guy pushing for the rematch to take place at 168.

And why should Bivol agree for 175 fight again? It is pointless, he already beat Canelo at that weight and he almost got robbed.

To be honest, any Canelo fight makes sense for Bivol only for a huge money. Why risk to get robbed?

Was Bivol even paid for the first fight?
That’s fine and I don’t disagree but the point is what ever weight the fight happens at it’s Canelo’s choice not Bivol’s.

          Completely agree.

Bivol has leverage though. Imagine a superstar not getting the opportunity to avenge a loss

It is impossible for a new-age, feeble-minded boxing fan to understand a boxer wanting something that doesn't give him an advantage. A boxer wanting something that challenges himself.

To sum up, today's boxing fans aren't familiar with real men.

I’ve been following the sport since the 90’s. I can’t believe how many supposed fans are justifying this BS. A 32 year old career Light Heavyweight having to boil down to Super Middleweight despite the guy he’s fighting- and already beat, having previously fought at 175 twice and even won a title at that weight. It’s so obvious what is happening here.

Fighters leverage everything, no fighter willingly sacrifices an advantage. Would you sacrifice a perhaps decisive advantage in a fight- if you’ve ever been in one? Bivol will make that sacrifice for the payday, just like Lalonde did back in 88. The fact he’s willing to do it, doesn’t make it right.

Whichever way people wanna spin it, the reality is this rematch will be on Canelo’s terms, he’s the superstar he gets to pick and choose the T’s a C’s. It’s the way boxing has worked for decades now, Leonard did it, Oscar did it, Floyd did it etc. If Canelo wants this fight to be at 168 it’ll be at 168, if he wants it to be at 175 it’ll be at 175. Trying to suggest this decision is Bivol’s is complete and utter nonsense.

it's all on Bivol if he agrees to 168 and it backfires

I'm Bivol fan and like him way more than I do Alvarez

there are consequences to prostituting oneself out

Bivol being a Russian should know this. We seeing what happening to Ukraine for whoring itself out
