Can anyone think of any more pointless rematches in history? Something like Haney Kambosis rematch was weak, but it had a rematch clause in the original contract, but this rematch seems to literally be pointless. Different division, dominant victory, no rematch clause, what's the point?

The fight at 168 was Bivol`s idea. he started to talk about that soon after the first fight.

You’re thinking simplistically. Think in terms of GREED. Bivol DOESNT have to fight Canelo again. No one can make him. Canelo WANTS rematch not Bivol.
Also think if Bivol fights at 175. HE WILL WIN. NO DOUBT. Also think if he wins a second, THEIR WONT BE A THIRD fight. Now imagine him fighting at 168 and loosing. I personally don’t think he will loose. How does Bivol get a third fight with Canelo who we know is at the end of his career? HE LOOSES the second fight. Now he gets to fight Canelo 3 times. Maybe you aren’t smart enough to understand that just ONE fight with Canelo is like winning the lottery but now you’re talking THREE FIGHTS. Bivol is not ******.
