The only way to measure what the fans want, is to measure where the fans spend their money. That is an irrefutable truth about the marketplace. When your product is in demand, it has a value. You don't tell the market what it wants. They tell YOU.
You may feel that Pacquiao is Common or Talib Kweli. True artists whose work you really enjoy. But Floyd is Jay-Z. He sells an a$$load. Maybe not the best...but still pretty darn good.
You may think that Coldplay is garbage, but you can't knock their hustle.
