    By the way,

If Floyd was projected to make $15 mil at the 600K level, how much is he making on the upside?

The incremntal revenue between 600K and 1.04 Mil buy is $20 million dollars.

Floyd's cut is probably $7 mil of that. So this was a $20 mil payday for FMJ.

      Skills,

There is a certain group that is working their way through it. The pain is very obvious in the writing though.

      Denial, mostly.

Side note: Imagine what Mayweather would have sold without a competing UFC event.

Yeah, I'd like to know too. Many were praying that it bomb, and that it wouldn't sell crap.

Some just enjoy being proven wrong, I guess.

Hey Haymon, do you know if Floyd is a GBP fighter?

And if he is, I thought he didn't wanna be tied to any promoters, what would be the benefit of him going back to a promoter, why would he want to return to having a middle-man again?

Floyd fights under the "Mayweather Promotions" banner. but that is just a pass-through company so he can share in the promoter's cut.

Since the Baldomir fight, Floyd has been a free-agent. He bought out of the Top Rank contract for $750K. That is why he always refers to himself as 'his own boss'.

For Baldomir, he hired Goossen Tutor to promote the event. in the fights subsequent to that, he has hired GBP. But he is not under contract with GBP.

He did a very good job with it, Announcing it on HBO right before the hatton and pacman fight, delaying to the mexican holiday.. and it has been two years since he last fought... so it is kind of obvious.

There was a 5:1 ratio in the guaranteed purses. floyd @ $10 mil, and Marquez @ $2 mil.

It would be pretty reliable to use that same ratio for the PPV upside. Still, it was - by far - Marquez' highest career payday.
