Wow thats a lot for a fight that people boycott, a fight that the media panned, a fight that they said wouldnt do much, a fight that steve kim Mayweather might not make the reported $15m because he was the lead promoter and he needs to sell more than 600K to break even......So am glad Mayweather(especially) and JMM prove most of them wrong.

Just curiosity on my part. When I see an "official" report of the PPV, stating that there were a million buys, I think........what a marvellous coincidence to hit exactly one million..........MARVELLOUS !!

I'd think that the report should say exactly how many PPVs there were.

Was this the fight which was also playing in closed circuit in local movie theatres?

Steroids, IMO one of the most common incorrectly used terms.

At one point many drugs now referred to as "steroids" where once legal. Many people/fighters/athletes etc used common performance enhancing drugs that you could pick up at your local GNC type stores.

The government picked up on some of these and banned them. Many fighters had used these kind of products before they where given the term "steroid". There is a difference in terms of what some used and the actual drug that you inject into yourself. Using "The cream" and popping "pills" wasn't one of them until 2005ish. Not exact but close. And I think a lot more people (fighters/aesthetes etc) than you think in general used these performance enhancing drugs that are now called "steroids"..

I'm sure if you do some digging on here you will find better info than I provided on this site..

I agree, but Shanes case is a little different! He was asked if he ever used it knowingly and i believe Victor Conte(the guy from balco who was manufacturing these undetectable steroids). He said mosely knew what he was taking before his 2nd De La Hoya fight, and there's no reason to think he would lie when he told the truth about the baseball players. Like being snitched on doesnt me the snitch is lying, it just means he's a rat. lol, Mosely was ratted out, and he gets a pass from the general boxing public. I agree though, there are some OTC drugs that were legal then that are not now, but when i consider the source and the circumstances surrounding the alleged allegations it comes down to one thing, who do you believe, Victor Conte or Shane Mosely, i believe Conte. If these same allegations were made about mayweather, OMG, ****, there are 30pages about him when he owes a car company 100something grand, people would want to ban him from the sport. True Story

I don't think that Manny P is "****y" I think that the Roach is the one who sticks his nose into matters which don't concern him. For this guy to get up to 2 million dollars for 8 weeks work is doing a lot better than the fighters, comparatively speaking, since his health and life are not at stake.

Personally, I don't think that Manny P should be fighting welterweights regardless of what a good fight he'll give them. They are much stronger and more absorbent than he.
