Oh shit! Oh my! How soon do we forget that it was Bud Crawford who chose to walk away from the talks and negotiations to fight David Avanyesan not Errol Spence remember? This is revisionist history at its worst.

Until Crawford is willing to remove his head out of his ass by negotiating in good faith and realize that he is not getting more money, a guarantee, a 50/50 purse split or a 50/50 split of the percentages and financial transparency then there will be no fight.

However at this point; Terence doesn't have any choice because he has run out of options and has no leverage at the bargaining table. He can no longer dictate terms and conditions because he is not a box office draw who can put enough meat in the seats.

Nor is he a pay per view attraction who can attract new fans to the sport. He is a price taker now and no longer a price maker as was before. The sooner he realizes this, then the better it will be for him.

[Spence's] mandatory (Thurman) has been ordered, and there’s all of that. There’s the assumption, ‘Oh, well, you can wave a magic wand and make it all go away to get a Crawford fight.’ I don’t know if that’s the case right now, it’s not as simple as that

IF Thurman is for no belts and above 147 then this comment is irrelevant. If he's not fighting a mandatory then there shouldn't be any reason why Crawford fight is back as a priority

So, if he’s (Crawford) interested—there’s no perfect deal. There’s an old saying. A good deal is a deal where everyone is unhappy. Instead of trying to get the perfect deal, let’s do the best deal we can under the circumstances before this thing passes its expiration date.

There you go. There was virtually no negotiations that have taken place last year. Probably about an hour worth over several months of "official negotiations." They practically did nothing, most likely on purpose just to annoy the other side and make him go away.

That's what you took away from it?

Crawford making demands he was never in a position to make, then taking his precious time responding to offers with a concession or counter-offer...likely because he was also negotiating the Avanesyan deal.

Bud will be 36 this year. Take a look at his resume. The level of opposition speaks for itself.

The contenders in the division need to stop playing the waiting game now and start fighting each other. Otherwise, they will rot waiting for nothing.

bro , Crawford was offered no guarantee in the biggest fight in boxing (or one of the biggest), and then no transparency of expenses. Man, I’ve never heard of no guarantee for a fighter , even in club cards lol

Yeah, I did. Bud was itching to go back in the ring, excited to give Spence boxing lessons. He agreed to no guarantee deal, yet the PBC side still managed to stall the fight practically giving no solution spending about six months. Oh man, anyone would go crazy waiting for nothing. November was the rumored date. Still nothing was heard from the PBC side. They have gone mute, cricket for the longest time in boxing history. Nothing. Oh man... just thinking about it makes my blood boil... Oh well...

The problem now is that both Spence and Crawford - along with oblivious to-the-real-world people like Shawn “The belts don’t matter” Porter are convinced that the appetite for this fight will be massive regardless of when and how they fight. They’re too arrogant to realize that the longer this drags on, the less likely casual fans will be interested enough to buy it - and too entitled to realize that if it’s at a higher weight with no undisputed belt on the line, fewer people will care as well.

It's not happening. Crawford isn't living in the real world.

This fight simply won't happen. If Crawford would had taken the Spence fight and won he would had a very lucrative possible match against Charlo.

Guys simply don't invest in themselves with a win that would put them in the stratosphere.
Future Hall of Fame inductee vs Sleepy Hennessy sipper- you think you know the A side??
