That makes sense but if everything gets signed before February they will have a month to promote the fight which I imagine is enough time.

There's a few things
They want Saudi money
if it is in Saudi it has to be before Ramadan which is March 22

that only leaves 1 Saturday. March 11th

March 4th is Catterall and Taylor in the UK
March 18th is UFC London
they won't want to clash with those as they will also be on primetime uk time

Usyk also has his own ramadan he said
"For me, the idea would be to fight maybe early February or beginning of March, like March 4, because I am an orthodox Christian. During the great fasting before Easter, I do not fight, so it should be all before or then after orthodox Easter (April 16)"

So they either fight March 11th (unless anyone cam think of anything else thats scheduled that day?)

Or most likely the fight isn't happening till after Easter (April 16th) and after Eid (when ramadan finishes around April 22nd)

Maybe you're seeing something over there, that I can't see? I know that Fury is a BIG star over here, and Usyk is relatively unknown over here. That's why I say 60-40 Fury is not a bad deal, especially in the UK. However you're over there, so maybe you see something I can't?

but if you were involved in the business and making money from this fight, and you had one fighter that had sold out that same stadium easily in a much less anticipated fight and then fighter on the other side that would never be able to sell that stadium fighting the same calibre of fighter Dillian Whyte, would you not be thinking “we are obviously the ones generating most of the money here so why are we giving half away”?

Usyk have made good money in Saudi Arabia, but that’s not the point is it ? The point is if they fight in the UK, the stadium will be full and there’s only one of those two fighters that can fill that stadium really.

The likes of Top Rank and Warren haven’t been going for decades by giving half of their money away to outside sources, when the commercial value dictates their side is bringing in most of the revenue.

for a personal standpoint, I don’t care what each fighter gets, I just want to see the fight and if it’s 50-50 then good. But like I said, if I was involved in the business and putting on the event, I wouldn’t be happy giving away a bigger percentage than I should be when it comes to who is actually bringing in the money at Wembley.

Like I said earlier, Usyk's last 2 paydays were up there with the biggest purses Fury has made in his career. How much of AJ's shine has rubbed off on him in Arab Land? Hard to say, but it's very possible he could make more BIG money defending his unified titles in the Middle East against other opponents not named Joshua or Fury.

When it comes to the UK, Usyk is well known and highly respected over here. Even before he beat AJ his fight with Chisora sold over a million PPVs on Sky. That's double the number Fury sold against the same opponent on BT. I'm not saying he's as popular as Fury or that he could sell out Wembley against a Chisora/Whyte level opponent, that would be nuts, but would Fury be able to pull that off again if the UK fans perceive him as pricing himself out of a unification with Usyk? I doubt it, especially after telling us so many times that he doesn't care about money, he's fighting to please his fans and preserve his own mental health, etc, etc.

For months now Arum and Warren have been talking about a 50/50 split being accepted by both sides. If they move the goal posts now and the fight falls through, that will reflect very badly on Fury, in terms of both popularity and legacy. That's why I don't think it will happen. This is just Bob Arum pulling his usual A side bullshit. Those US dinosaurs just can't help themselves. But Arum won't even be the lead promoter if the fight happens in the UK, that will be Frank Warren/Queensbury.

Frank Warren has already kissed the ring on the U.S. Dinosaur's hand, so Arum is in control! I think Usyk understands this, so he'll make the smart move! He should have stuck to his word, and fought Wilder! That would've given him some leverage, especially if that fight had surpassed Fury vs. Wilder 3! However, at this point, it's Fury or bust! Take the 40%!!!

Usually I would side with the guy with 3 belts, and not the guy with 1 belt, but in this case, we all know that Fury is the draw! Fury is bigger than life! He's the Muhammad Ali of our time! Usyk should be cool with 40%, because that 40% fighting Fury, is more than 65% fighting anyone else.

Man this fight draws money not because of Fury or Usyk. That’s all about 1st undisputed heavyweight ‘C’ in a 4 belts era. That’s an historical event with champions. 50-50 is fair and square.
