That ref saved Ellis from a KO. A draw would be fair, but I am glad Villa won, because the ref was trying to givethat fight to Ellis.

Rashidi doesn't want any more of this. His legs didn't just let him down, like all he needs to do is run around the block a few more times. Roiman figured him out, half killed him.

2 and half years ago Ellis beat Alexis Rocha. But look where both careers are at now. Even before this loss, Rocha bounced back immediately, keeps getting better and has been active, bigger name headlining events. Ellis even after signing with a new promotion his last fight wasn't even televised still fighting on undercards, has no fanbase because he has spent years turning down big fights and inactive hoping to back into a big payday. There is something to be said to being active fighting good competition, taking big fights when they are on the table because if you don't this happens. Ellis is not a young kid, pro for 10 years now multiple promoters turns 30 in a couple months with nothing to show because he has spent years turning down fights.

Wouldn’t call it a robbery anyway.
If he won 12 without knockdown, that's 1 point.

Each knockdown is another point, so 3points or 10/7.

            9, 10, 11, that's 3 points.

            6 points total = minimum a draw.

I said, Rocha gave away the Ellis fight.

The Rocha that fought Cobbs would have beaten Ellis.

Yup Rocha lost a close fight to Ellis. Didn't cry about it just got to work and got better. If they fight today he beats Ellis. Since they fought Ellis had only 1 fight before tonight and nothing to show for it. Rocha is headlining again later this month. Shows losses don't mean everything because his fanbase and career is way ahead of Ellis and I say that even before Ellis lost. Ellis is a cautionary tale of mismanagement and you can't blame the promoters PBC just like Golden Boy couldn't get Ellis to take big fights. That's fighter and manager pricing him out of fights.

What the hell? I was watching and doing other things throughout this fight. Every time I tuned in, Ellis was boxing Villa's brains off. Too fast, too accurate and too busy.

I saw the last rd and was like, holy crap, Villa might pull off the come from behind KO upset. Yet he didn't get it done. I thought to myself, Okay, even with the 2 knockdowns (maybe it should of been 3), he still can't win a decision because Ellis took him to school for the entire fight. I tuned out for the annoucement.

Now I read that Villa won!? Wtf world is this? I love KOs but will also take some knockdowns. Despite the ones Villa banked in the final round, from what I saw in the rounds prior, no way in hell would I have thought Villa deserved the win. I'm also against defensive minded fighters! Yet Villa was too slow mostly, looking for a big punch and I wasn't feeling his offensive style at all.
