I give him zero credit. If Haney was in his exact position and Loma had the four belts.. Loma & his handlers would demand a bigger fight.

Knowledgeable boxing fans aren’t buying these excuses.
Problem is the current crop of lightweights are way more skilled than the guys Loma was fighting 3-5 years ago. Hence why Loma looks ‘special’ against guys like Commey and Nakhatani.
Let’s just be honest for a change
Size and skills are both major factors in a fight. Be honest yourself.

I never disagreed with that. But I see the pro-Loma fans mentioning size. I’ve never heard skill.

every fighter has their fanboys, do u expect loma fanboys to say something like 'loma is not small for 135 its just i think his skills are not up to scratch for the weight class'

Yeah Walters should’ve won that fight. Doesn’t change the fact he was coming off a 1 year layoff when he fought Loma and being a 9/1 underdog

Haney too. These guys talk like they're God's gift. No, it's just your time to come up right now. Boxing is all about timing and the shoe will be on the other foot one day.

Nobody was begging to get in there with Lomachenko yet now he's starting to look old and faded they're all on him like vultures. It's embarrassing.
When Mayweather was almost 37 he fought a bigger and much younger Canelo and dominated. He also moved up more weight classes than Lomachenko. Nobody was giving him an age or size excuse. Lomachenko should be held to that same standard.

By the way, Haney wanted to fight Lomachenko years ago. So you're trying to rewrite history with a false narrative about Haney and Lomachenko.

Loma definitely has skills, but he's more athletic than pure boxing IQ. I think that's what Stevenson is referring to.

It's only certain Americans who can't root for people unless they look like them. Unfortunately, this forum is littered with them.
