Someone tell me how this works? I thought when you escape Cuba, you can't just go BACK there and hang out?

That's how it used to be Fidel is dead and Raul is old and no longer the leader, times are changing and although Cuba is still economically unstable they are easing up on certain restrictions. They are even allowing Cuban baseball players who defected to compete internationally on the Cuban team.

Cuba announced that MLB players who defected from the country would be allowed to compete for the country in the upcoming World Baseball Classic.

'Either way that sucks for him, I don't see a reason for him to be jailed unless he was speeding or driving reckless which is a big possibility either that or he left the scene of the crime. I do know Cuba has some crazy laws, like you can get 20+ years for killing a cow.'

That is a really American way of thinking. That does bring home the way a lot of Americans spoke about the death of Harry Dunn. Like Anne Sacoulas, she wasn't DUI, she was just driving too fast & recklessly & on the wrong side of the road & she killed someone. Like, if I ran down the street with a big lump of metal & hit someone with it, I guess you'd accept that is murder/manslaughter, right? But if the big lump of metal is a car then, all of a sudden, nothing to see here folks?

They can make it easy all they want. It's still political and dangerous.

I’ve been Cuba 35 times & all I can say is there is no reason to kill a cow. They are all skin & bone. Terrible beef…

Nothing to do with what I was referring too. I wouldn't say it's more dangerous than the US either.

Lol I've never been to Cuba but I don't understand how they would be all skin and bone. Is Cuba immune to growing grass?

Did I say Yuriorkis was innocent? I said the only reason I can see him getting jailed was because he was breaking some type of law and even gave an example. I don't know who the **** Harry Dunn or Anne Sacoulas are.

Seems like you are from the UK though since it's inherent for you guys to talk trash about Americans from the start even though your country has plenty of examples as well.

Go ask Amir Khan and Prince Naseem Hamed about their automobile accidents in the UK though, apparently it's a very British thing to not get charged when you ruin other peoples lives driving recklessly in high performance vehicles on public roads.

they don’t feed them. They eat grass or whatever they can find. They can barely feed themselves. In Varadero all the cows are in the military zone by airport. The resorts get some beef but in September i could barely find any meat.,i was there 2 weeks but rented a airbnb. I dropped so much money on taxis just finding anything to eat. No bread in 2 weeks. I found pasta at one place & no rice. It was pretty scarce… i had to buy 4g of pork at once but then found a little chicken & chorizo at one tourist market. Food went fast… i bought like 2 cases of mr noodle. Regular citizens don’t cows…

Tragic news and Cuba is extremely safe. This is from a person who stayed in the solares.

Also I highly doubt Gamboa was sober. The Caribbean in general has some of the worst roads with pot holes and that naturally slows you down unless you wasted.

Especially in Santiago which is the country side.

tragic news and murder is murder people. Vehicular manslaughter is still a crime.

some of y’all thinking I truly wonder about. Not really I could give a fucc, but still made me shake my head.
