Take it from me. I’m Canadian & have been going to Cuba for 15 years. I been there 35 times. I rent houses & don’t stay in hotels or resorts so experience real Cuba. Cuba is pretty safe. Sure there is crime but it is not unsafe for tourists as that is the countries bread & butter. Now i wouldn’t suggest flashing bling & money in dark back alleys after midnight in Havana but i have never felt remotely unsafe anywhere there. I can’t say the same thing for other countries I have been in like Egypt, Mexico, Peru, Bolivia, Honduras, Guatamala…

15 months in "prison" is hardly a sentence especially since he had special privilege's stop acting like he did hard time for a crime he committed.

Nice try though.
My family has cattle in northern Mexico where it's hot as hell they have been raising them for over 100+ years on a ranch for personal consumption, you can't see their ribs.
Sounds like the response of someone who has nothing else to say. Care to inform how Cuba is dangerous?

They have made it easier for Cuban defectors to return to Cuba, they are even starting to promote professional boxing from what I read.
Either way that sucks for him, I don't see a reason for him to be jailed unless he was speeding or driving reckless which is a big possibility either that or he left the scene of the crime. I do know Cuba has some crazy laws, like you can get 20+ years for killing a cow.Comment
