Someone tell me how this works? I thought when you escape Cuba, you can't just go BACK there and hang out?

Things have changed because Cuba needs the money, not because they want them there. Imagine if a US athlete ( wonīt happen, no momey but the example is reasonable ) goes to North Korea and plays for them, he wonīt be able to return to the US. Look at what happenned to Bobby Fisher, he was banned and attacked by the US government for "doing business with the enemy".

they don’t feed them. They eat grass or whatever they can find. They can barely feed themselves. In Varadero all the cows are in the military zone by airport. The resorts get some beef but in September i could barely find any meat.,i was there 2 weeks but rented a airbnb. I dropped so much money on taxis just finding anything to eat. No bread in 2 weeks. I found pasta at one place & no rice. It was pretty scarce… i had to buy 4g of pork at once but then found a little chicken & chorizo at one tourist market. Food went fast… i bought like 2 cases of mr noodle. Regular citizens don’t cows…
