This fight is very good for the sport. I am more than a little delighted that both Oscar De La Hoya and Al Haymon have decided to finally bury their hatchet by giving us boxing fans a fight that we want to see.

                1. Now we can stop talking about promoters as it pertains to this fight.
                2. Now all you guys can say mean things about the fighter you don’t like and the people you disagree with.
                3. A Garcia KO would be super good for boxing and I hope it happens for that reason.

Glad to hear this fight may be happening but I’m a bit concerned fhat there’s no date, place, Tank is taking an interim fight and DAZN is saying there’s a deal “in principle”. It doesn’t seem “done” yet

These young men at this stage of thier careers cut weight to make divisions period. Ryan fought Fortuna at 140,felt great not having to drain himself to get to 135 on top of having a great performance and said he was never putting his body through that again to make 135. But because he's been wanted to prove his detractors wrong and I'm sure the 136 was a take it or leave ultimatum,he accepted. Same shiet Canelo did to GGG with his whole "155lb" bullshiet but Ryan decided to call Tanks bluff.

When you're struggling to make a division like say Haney,"1lb" is a big deal, let alone the other 3.9 lbs. Not hard to comprehend why Tank was willing to fight Barrios at 140 but not Ryan.
Garcia should fight someone his own size then. He agreed to it. He knows his body better than any of us. I'm not sure he would agree to it if he thought it would mean he'll get ktfo due to being drained.

I'm glad that a good fight seems to be happening despite rival promoters and broadcasters though. Looking forward to the fight.
