Fair enough but if Tank can make 135 and be healthy then he is a LW imo. If Garcia can't/won't then he's not a LW.

It seems like it took over 6 months just for Davis to concede 1 pound of leeway to Garcia. We still have to wait for them to fight "tune-up fights" and Davis has a court date in February. Plenty that can go wrong still to derail this.

More catch weight nonsense. It’s hard to take serious any top modern day fighter with all the catch weight nonsense. Part of being a professional
prize fighter is making weight, this catch weight nonsense is as bad as crooked scoring.

Thats why fucc what anybody says, those relying on catch weights ain’t cracking my top 5 ever despite having top 5 talent.

integrity is a huge part of what makes boxing great.

Tbf they are making weight. They just agree to make a different weight. If both parties agree I don't see how it can be in the same league as crooked scoring.

Kind of a broad brush there as most every boxer is cutting significant weight to make the division they're fighting in. Some do it until they absolutely can't(Teo) and some feel it isn't worth the risk or sacrifice any longer and move up(Ryan).

I suspect Mayweather and Team "enticed" Ryan with the 136lb,notice how it wasn't even 137-38,essentially calling his bluff in hopes he turns it down so they can say "see we tried". Only it backfired as Ryan's been wanting this fight for over a year now and agreed to it. Find it a little su****ious as well that this news comes out on the eve of Tank fighting an underwhelming opponent in January. Why not SIGN a 2 fight deal where they take a tune-up and agree to fight in May or June? Could be a case of someone just stringing the other along. Hopefully I'm just reading to much into it and we get this fight but like most here and rightly so,i"ll let my gaurd down and hopes up once contracts are signed than just an agreement "in principle".

Oh wow. I thought Ryin' Garcia is a bum and doesn't deserve Gervonta Davis, aka Tank's attention; Davis doesn't need him, he fills up stadiums all on his own, etc., etc. Now that it's made everyone is riding on it trying to get some kind of credit, "See, boxing is not dead, see, I told ya..."
