  • Comments Thread For: Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia Showdown is Finalized

Boxing fans will get at least one of the big fights they want in 2023. Gervonta Davis and Ryan Garcia announced through their Instagram accounts Thursday that their representatives have completed a deal for the popular knockout artists to meet in a much-discussed showdown on a date to be determined in 2023. Their 12-round fight, which will be contested at a catch weight of 136 pounds, will be a Showtime Pay-Per-View main event from an undetermined venue in Las Vegas.

It's not a huge fight, yet 2 platforms had to fight for it. Would this be the first time DAZN/Showtime in a collaborative venture?

Free agent Davis seems not smart enough to just cross the street and make twice the money.

Other than Fury vs Usyk/AJ or Spence/Crawford this is a big fight. Tank has headlined some ppvs and Garcia has his millions of followers.

Sad to see that the circus fights are making more than the real fights.

Glad to hear. Wondering who balked. If its a split promo, there should be no reason Munguia/Mall doesnt get made

It certainly got the potential of becoming one as the fight nears.

Catchweight fight for 2 kids in their early 20s. Just shows they can't be taken serious. Where are all the people who trash catchweight fights? Manny and Canelo haters, I'm looking at you?

Wow, I must admit that I did not see this coming. I'm glad it's finally coming into fruition!
