He limited risk, ducked challenges when he wasn't sure and left his fanboys to make excuses. That is fact unfortunately. The only real argument against it is that pretty much all boxers do.

You're allowed to criticise him. He's just a man, not your god.
What are you crying about lol, you are arguing your opinion nothing more, Im showing you that your idea applies to every great fighter that ever existed, just because a fight never happened it does not mean duck that's fan talk, if you have accurate inside information, then you have a point, but you don't, you have your own likes and dislikes which have been fed by media that is the basis of your beliefs, I don't agree with your version my mind is more open in these things because we don't have the absolute truth, I understand the business side of boxing and I understand the mindset of elite fighters, duck is couch fan generated it's not in the mind of elite fighters.

"Floyd missed out on a major payday by not fighting Khan!".

Since when was Khan some major draw? I think people GREATLY overestimate Khan's popularity.

Wow you’re more right even than I thought. I’ve always told people Tommy Hearns would have ****ed Floyd up badly… so many of his fans say no, Floyd would have won by knockout, and point to the Corrales fight and claim that as evidence, because “Floyd destroyed the bigger man”. Turns out Floyd had a 72” reach, and Corrales was 70”. Hearns on the other hand was 78”.

        Facts matter.

Good luck getting anyone to listen. I've been preaching this for many many years. I was probably already preaching this in 2010, lol.

At the end of the day, he navigated shark infested waters well. Got all the right fights at the right time. My quote in my sig was captured from a boxingscene article where he was interviewed. It holds nothing but the truth. He himself knows, he wouldn't take a fight where he feels he has even a 1% chance to lose.

Annoying guy? Yes. Total idiot when it comes to making the right moves in boxing? Not a chance.

Really I cant say Ive more than 4 that say that, maybe those 4 jumped out at you and you thought it was 4 million. Man you could write a book on the stuff fans say does it make it true lol.

The only thing Id be comfortable saying regarding Floyd would be I cant see any fighter in history smaller than him beating him, I can see mountains of them that are much bigger beating him.

Context matters. He was referring to Manny's unwillingness to follow Floyd's drug testing demands. Why would Floyd take a fight where he felt somebody could be juicing? He didn't say "I'm not picking any fight where I know I can lose, because some can beat me". The fact that you felt that Manny didn't even have a 1% chance of beating Floyd lets you know that Floyd was levels and above the rest of his peers.

yeah 2015 Pac was such a bum. No wonder Floyd easily won 8-10 rounds off him.

Not sure how you brought up juicing here, lol. My quote in the sig was not directly related to Pac. It was a general quote that Mayweather said when asked. He was referencing how he goes into who he fights. Basically, as the original poster said, he needs to have some kind of advantages before going in to guarantee he'll win.

Aside from aging Pac out of his most dangerous point in his career and finally facing him like 6 or 7 years too late, Mayweather STILL took advantages beyond his arm length. He outsized Pac in body frame (undisclosing his fight night weight) and made sure Pac had to face him with a shoulder injury. Basically giving Pac absolutely zero chance to sc**** a points victory, let alone a KO.

No version of Pacquiao beats Floyd. I don't know why people keep pretending Pacquiao ever had a chance of winning.

Pacquiao has no jab and can't cut off the ring, which are the 2 things you need to give Floyd trouble.
