Pound for Pound is About SKILLS not OPPOSITION

JMM dominated himself by taking the fight, putting on the weight and losing all his speed and reflexes.I understand that he was far from his best but what I was getting at is its not like Floyd did that to some shot bum or low-skilled journeyman. He may have been blown up, but Marquez still has skills. Floyd's dominance was impressive. I guarantee no other WW dominates JMM like that.
He doesn't belong at WW period.Comment

Mosley used steroids, Mayweather/Pac didn't.Here's something that I hope will make you guys think better...
ODLH that Mosley beat twice > ODLH that Mayweather decisioned > ODLH that Pacquiao annihilated
Mosley beat a prime ODLH and followed it up when they were both past their primes. Remember, the 2nd bout was before Mayweather and ODLH drama... i call it drama because it was all scripted! I mean, can't you see how the golden pretties avoided hurting each other throughout the 12 round contest????
To cut the long story short, Mosley is the best!
To cut the long story short, Mosley's victories are tainted so he's not the best.Comment

"Pound-for-Pound" is a great piece of boxing jargon, and I'm happy for it, and I'ma let it finish ; but "fantasy fight" is the greatest piece of "unconfirmable bull**** boxing jargon" of all time!!!!Comment

WHy doesnt ANYBODY point this out.
Juan Manuel Marquez is a COLD BLOODED Counter Puncher. He is at BEST when facing someone that is aggressive and comes forward.
I'll give Floyd some props for shutting him out though. #2 in the list is fair.Comment

Mayweather was expected to win every round, especially when he weighed tons more than Marquez did during fight night. Marquez's lightweight punches couldn't hurt Mayweather's middleweight frame. Marquez isn't an offensive fighter to begin with. He doesn't have the tools of a good offensive fighter. He wasn't fighting his usual style. This is probably the main reason why he looked ****** against Mayweather who was faster, bigger, taller, and had a much longer reach.I don't wanna sound like I'm ****riding Floyd here, because I have criticised him plenty in the past.
I know he was expected to win, but I didn't expect him to win every single round by a landslide. That surprised and impressed me. Although, I do admit that even though I held reservations regarding Marquez's ability to carry the weight, he carried it even worse than I thought he would.
You seriously do not think it was evident that his skills are still there? I mean, the speed, the defensive abilities, the precise countering - it all looked pretty good to me. Again I accept Marquez was way above his proper fighting weight, but all Floyd's tools looked to be in order from where I was sitting.
As far as Floyd going to war with Marquez - it was never going to happen. Floyd isn't a risk-taker in the ring, at least not any more. He doesn't care about pleasing the critics or the crowd, he simply cares about getting the win. That's just the way it is with Mayweather.Comment

Dude, what punches? Marquez landed only 12%, his weight had nothing to do with THAT fact - Floyd's defense did.Mayweather was expected to win every round, especially when he weighed tons more than Marquez did during fight night.
