Wardley v Gorman is at least a half decent undercard fight. Far more interested in that than the main event.

For me I recognize his last 5 opponents before Moore & Muralimov earlier. Forrest being the best of them. That was his biggest step up but he did beat some trialhorses who have fought some names like Sour & Booker. Ed Fountain was in the ESPN tourney years ago that Andrei Fedosov won. Never saw the Forrest fight but it was on Shobox & believe Forrest got screwed out of a win from my understanding. For the most part he beat the guys he was supposed to beat then the Forrest fight happened as his first step up. Whyte is a massive leap up like it was for David Price when he fought Tony Thompson. Journeymen to top 10 with only a questionable decision over Forrest. I would expect Whyte to dispose of him easily as Franklin has not had many tough assignments in the 2nd tier of HWs other than Forrest. No others like Kiladze, Hammer, Wach, etc…

While in theory I would say he could probably throw one, I'm not sure if I recall him actually throwing any of significance. He's much better at lumbering around the ring, throwing lazy jabs and slow, basic combinations.

He may have a decent chin, I've never seen him hurt, but he hasn't really faced any murderous punchers.

Franklin's biggest assets are his undefeated record and the misplaced hype that was given to him early in his career.

I'll still give him a chance. Whyte is terrible imo. I don't think he had a real win wince Wach. I can't count Covidkin.

Undefeated always gives someone a bit of intrigue. You're not really sure what they're capable of. You don't know someone's level until they go one step too far and get beaten. Plenty of top fighters just do enough to win.

No issue with this fight on the comeback trail. You'd expect Whyte has been matched well but you never really know with an undefeated fighter.

Whyte is not a World Level fighter, and he is coming off a brutal loss to Tyson Fury.

This is professional boxing mate, and there is something called match making.

It is commonsense, that Whyte's first fight back should be a fight where 'It is highly likely he will win'.

It also all depends on Whyte's ambitions. The Dubois fight was there for him to make, I think the Whyte before the Fury loss 'Would of jumped at that fight'.

Whyte has been ****** out now three times. Joshua, Povetkin and Fury. At top level he has been well beaten.

                    "Mis-Matchroom at it's finest"
                    "Dazn is dead"

Franklin was a rumored opponent for Whyte previously (when he was flirting with idea to fight in US). I figured Jermaine would ultimately cash in against one of the veterans looking for a showcase fights against someone the casuals will think is good.

That's not to say this is a gimme fight for The Bodysnatcher. I don't rate Franklin high but we don't know how much Whyte has left.
