Me too, but at the mo, I think it’s Wilder because whether they try boxing from range, or crowding his space all night, anyone up against him will need mobility. More than Ruiz has, at least.

Wilders relevant wins consist of Ortiz who’s very overatted and that’s something that’s proven through the years .

Are you telling me you can’t fill in a list who he hasn’t fought and defeated ? The WBC put Helenius in a top 5 spot but we all know he’s not even top 15 ,what actual list of top 10 guys has Wilder defeated ?

To ask what fighters he hasn’t fought really is just nonsensical because it’s practically the entire division right now and guys no longer there . Arent you guys ever going to get tired of posters making threads about Wilders resume to show you ? Lol

Seriously you guys need to stop asking who Wilder never fought and telling him to start fighting top guys ,Ruiz is a start and despite everyone giving him the win already it’s a dangerous fight for him ,Ruiz doesn’t fold easy like most Wilder guys he’s fought so we don’t know if he can win if he had trouble hurting guys who keep coming at him .

This isn’t just for Wilder either ,Furys in the same boat seeking soft touches again when he’s the actual champion now .

Andy takes to many shots but Luis mad cuz he got that (A's) kicked. Andy could win if he could avoid being hit clean especially if he takes Wilder weak a(sS) a few rounds.

            1. I had Ortiz winning that fight 113-112 over Ruiz, 8 rounds to 4, even with the three knockdowns (the 2nd was bogus anyway)
            2. Wilder and Ruiz have a bunch of common opponents and for the most part Ruiz built his career on Wilder's leftovers

            Kelsey Arnold:
            Deontay Wilder W KO 1, 6/26/2009
            Andy Ruiz W KO 3, 2/11/2011

            Alvaro Morales:
            Wilder W TKO 3, 4/30/2010
            Ruiz W UD 6, 2/26/2011

            Matthew Greer:
            Wilder W TKO 2, 1/19/2013
            Ruiz W KO 1, 3/16/2013

            Siarhei Liakhovich:
            Wilder W KO 1, 8/19/2013
            Ruiz W UD 10, 12/20/2014

            Chris Arreola:
            Wilder W RTD 8, 7/16/2016
Ruiz W UD 12, 5/1/2021 (Ruiz dropped in round 2)

            Luis Ortiz:
            Wilder W TKO 10, 3/3/2018
            Wilder W KO 7, 11/23/2019
            Ruiz W UD 12, 9/4/2022

Wilder will waste Ruiz in the first half of the fight. He just got dropped by Arreola and got a gift decision against a 43 year old Ortiz whose legs were so bad he could barely stand up.

Ruiz doesn't move his head. If you don't move your head, you can't beat Wilder. Period. Ruiz, Joyce, Whyte, and Joshua are all highlight reel KOs waiting to happen. None of them move their heads.

Ruiz is too fat and thick in the waist to get under punches. You thought AJ and Arreola peppered him with their right hands. As I said I wouldn't be surprised if Wilder brokes his hand again when he knocks out Ruiz.
I don't recall Wilder ever effectively using his height/reach advantage other than in the first Stiverne fight. After that Wilder fell in love with his power and abandoned boxing in favor chasing the highlight KO (not that I don't enjoy his efforts). I'm thinking that despite Andy's massive reach disadvantage, he likely out jabs Wilder for as long as the fight lasts.

That said, I agree about the part where Wilder knocks Andy out.

Andy is more likely to die from choking on a taco than from being hit by Wilder.

                Fat bastard has a chin.

I see Ortiz got the memo to push the "only Fury can take Wilders power" narrative. Ruiz took a left hook bomb from Joshua right on the chin, got dropped but got up with his legs still under him. He then took a huge straight right, right after when Joshua tried to close the show. Both punches wouldve more than likely KO'd any heavyweight. Ruiz has a chin so it's not a foregone conclusion he can take Wilders shot like Fury.

                    1. Joshua doesn't hit like Wilder
                    2. Wilder only really landed clean on one of the four knockdowns against Fury (the second one in the first fight). The other three knockdowns all came off glancing blows.

The fact is Fury mostly avoided getting hit in those three fights. If Wilder landed clean on him like he did on Breazeale or Ortiz he wouldn't have gotten up.

Ruiz doesn't move his head. It's only a matter of time before Wilder catches him and erases him.

And don't forget, the ghost of Chris Arreola dropped Ruiz very recently.

Ruiz has some pop and he is fast. That said, when he is throwing hooks and his cross, his head is right there to hit. Ortiz hit him many times with straight shots as he was coming in and throwing. Unless Ruiz changes his style entirely or catches Wilder, he is headed straight to sleep.
