Ruiz doesn't have power. He couldn't stop Ortiz (Wilder stopped a much better version of him twice), he couldn't stop Liakhovich (Wilder, Helenius, Briggs, Jennings, Harris, Kean, and Romanov all stopped him), he couldn't stop Arreola (Wilder, Klitschko, and Stiverne stopped him).

KO% of active current/former heavyweight titlists (not counting regular/interim):
    Wilder: 91.30
    Joshua: 81.48
    Martin: 78.79
    Fury: 71.87
    Stiverne: 67.74
    Usyk: 65.00
    Parker: 63.64
    Ruiz: 59.46

Some people are sleeping on ruiz man just cuz he fat boy Lol, andy has better boxing skills than wilder and enough pop to keep big boys at bay, wilder power is preposterous true but thats about it. Its too bad helenius didn't last too much to see wilder being put in some kind of predicament but we'll what happens next.

Fury himself would have been hovering around 66% at the time he fought Wilder the first time. Big man, but not considered a puncher at the time.

Questions about Wilder's punch resistance are independent of Ruiz or any opponent - there wasn't much to gather from Saturday's fight.

if you follow boxing, you already know lol. Anyway, I like Wilder. I usually watch his fights. There's no reason he couldn't beat all of these guys if he connected right. Connecting right seems to be his specialty. However, you have to fight the fights.

None of the guys you mention have the foot work or hustle to avoid his right hand. I view it different than you. Usyk has a chance if he can have a perfect fight. Also, Otto Wallin could beat him too IF he boxed smart and didn’t exchange.

Fury was able to stop Wilder for two primary reasons:
                1. He was able to land clean punches with a full wind up over and over and over again
                and
                2. He was big enough to bully Wilder around and gas him out

Ruiz won't be able to land like Fury did. He doesn't have the range, the IQ, or the punch evasion.

Wilder going back to his lighter weight will also significantly help his gas tank.

Ruiz got dropped by Chris Arreola and then needed a gift decision to beat a version of Luis Ortiz that is so washed he can barely stand up. People criticized Wilder for taking 10 rounds to stop him 3 and a half years ago. Much like Povetkin in both Whyte fights, Ortiz simply doesn't have his legs anymore. The Martin and Ruiz fights both showed that. It wasn't about his chin, it was that his legs just plain won't hold him up anymore.

Ruiz is a stationary target. He doesn't move his head at all and he doesn't move his feet.

Fighters that don't move their heads will never beat Deontay Wilder. Period. If you come at him with your head on the center line you're going to sleep. Fury barely got hit with ANY completely clean shots against Wilder and he still hit the deck four times. Only one of the three was on a truly solid connection (2nd knockdown in the first fight).

You need to close the distance effectively to beat Wilder. . . something Fury is a master at, and Andy is not as we saw in the second AJ fight.

Joshua has been matched carefully since the ghost of Klitschko made his life flash before his eyes.

They almost messed up by fighting Povetkin when he was only mostly washed instead of entirely washed like we later saw against Whyte. Povetkin had him rocked for a bit.

But besides that? Usyk twice, Ruiz twice, Pulev, Takam, Parker? All very weak punchers. Good fighters, every one of them, but none of them is a big KO threat. Even Povetkin, who is considered a big puncher, only has a 63% career KO percentage.
