Damn you are so right about this. Ever since he signed that Dazn contract four years ago 160, 168 and 175 have been very stagnate. With Charlo, Andrade and Mungia not fighting each other at 160, Benavidez v Plant v Morrell not fighting at 168 and the 175ers not getting it on because everyone is hoping for that payday has really made a mess of those divisions. Hopefully he stays true to his word and stays out until May 2023 while his hand recovers so PBC and TR can make the fights we want. There is no why PBC can't make 3G v Jermall next or TR can't let Janibek unify with Charlo on Showtime just like Al let Porter go to Espn to fight Bud. If Plant beats Dirrell then it's no excuse for them to not to make Plant v Benavidez. Bivol v Zurdo winner should fight Beterbiev for all the chips. Hopefully Canelo is boxing's last Diva. I was beginning to get worried that the Spence v Bud fight wasn't going to happen because someone was making Diva demands during negotiations, but thankfully Al worked that out (a.k.a. Bud caved in on everything).

I feel Paulie on this one. Not fighting Mexicans,
really? This is not the Mexico soccer national team this is boxing. You gotta face the next best available opponent. Like AB alway says, “it doesn't Matter,
      Ameri-Can, Puerto Ri-Can, Mexi-Can, and Afri-Can CAN GET IT!!”

After all the talk I think Canelo is too much for Benavidez but make the fight so we can find out. Charlo is another option.

Paula! What you don't understand is that by fighting the son of the legend, 1/2 of Mexico got against him and burn his a$$ to the ground for beating Chavez Jr! When he beat Angulo and Gomez it was when he was on his way up, now that he has the pleasure to chose who he wants to fight, he decides not to fight another Mexican. all of you and the media mice are placing Benavidez like if he is out of this world! When Benavidez beats Plant then make a statement for him! Benavidez has a lot of flaws and you as an ex boxer should point htis out to, not to call him the Mexican monster! Remember GGG when he was called the monster? What happened to your monster when he hit Canelo so hard, that Canelo shook his head and said nope! Not me. You can't hurt me!

He says he wont fight mexicans due to some natinalistic crap but keeps berating Benavidez and taking away the opportunity of a young mexican to make money and history, crushing his dreams.

Which concern's Canelo to no end, to the point that he walked off of the post fight interview of his last fight, when they asked him if he was going to fight David Benavidez?
It was very telling that the mere mentioning of David Benavidez name, would elicit such a troubling reaction from Canelo, he couldn't stand it or take it anymore.
Telling the report "don't disrespect me", how in the hell was he being disrespected by that question, no it was more like why are you putting me on the spot in front of the everyone who was watching the post fight interview.
WOW! Whatever you do please don't put him in such a distressful state of mind in front of his public, can't you see he's cut, tired, and hurting, have some respect/sympathy for him. WHAT?

Wasn’t too long ago when Canelo himself said “Benavidez yes, Plant yes, Andrade no!” When talking about who deserves a fight with him. Now all of a sudden it’s I don’t want to fight a Mexican, when Benavidez was born and raised in America and is half Ecuadorian? Now he’s getting defensive when asked about him and saying , oh who has he beat? He doesn’t want the type of problems that Benavidez brings because the Canelo that gassed vs ggg gets stopped by Benavidez.

Paulie ain't lying. Canelo also has El Perro Angulo on his record too. But what him and Chavez jr have in common is that both of them are stuck in the mud. They have slow ass feet and poor defense. They're basically come forward heavy bags with arms.
Paulie is usually honest in his assessments but what I'll always remember Paulie for the most was the severe butt fu..king he received at the hands of Showtime Porter. Sweet Jesus H Christ, what a royal asswhipping that was. And let's not forget what Cotto did to him. That was 1940's era beatdown Oh and I love the fight where his braids were getting knocked loose by the African fighter lmao
