With that said Canelo faced Chavez when he wasn't yet the star he is now once he became huge he said no more Mexicans kinda like Floyd didn't face African Americans much.

So which African Americans should Floyd have faced at 147?

Perhaps but Benavidez has fought nobody at 168. Why can’t he force a fight with Charlo? Why can’t the top guys at 168 fight each other instead of waiting for the Canelo payday?

So you are defending Canelo by bringing up something irrelevant except to just insult Malignaggi.

it was during the Chavez press run or post fight coverage that Canelo stated he won’t like to fight another Mexican. Being that Alvarez and Chavez are the 2 biggest boxing names in mexico, it caused a major rivalry domestically. He said he hated seeing that; he always wants to unite mexico, not divide.

He’s been saying the same since they fought and haven’t changed his stance (Even though I’m sure he’ll fight another Mexican in the future because he can’t avoid them forever)
That's true. The experience of the Chavez Jr fight is what made Canelo sour on fighting Mexicans.

As long as he fights a tough opponent like Bivol next then I'm ok with it.

Meanwhile maybe the media can get on David Benavidez' ass and ask him when he is going to face a tough opponent? There's several options over at PBC...as fans we can't even get good in-house fights in this sport now? Along with all the "other side of the street" fights that we don't get?

I wasn't sure if you were being funny, or serious but many who follow boxing are getting sick, and tired of Canelo acting like he's the dictator of boxing.
I mean how arrogant can this fool get, he's going to pick who he's going to fight, that's the boxing organization's job to rank, and determine who his mandatory challenger'(s) are.
That's called corruption, and that's exactly what he's doing corrupting the sport of boxing, which doesn't need any more help as it is corrupt enough.
The bright side of this whole picture is that it appear's that his boxing career is finally coming to it's conclusion, Bivol put something on him that he still hasn't been able to shake off.

You even have expert commentator Paulie Malignaggi saying the exact same thing as most boxing fans that Canelo is ducking only certain Mexican fighters that he knows he cannot beat. Hmm and I just wonder and guess which one that is? You decide!

Canelo did ask one simple question …. How come the guys that are desperately trying to get a fight with him aren’t fighting each other?
Why are they fighting nondescript guys instead of eliminating each other so Canelo can’t have an excuse?
Canelo’s goal was to unify the 168 division. He was pretty clear about that. These guys were aware and should have fought each other and force the fight to happen.

I’m not disagreeing that Canelo calls the shot on everything but thee guys should have fought each other by now. Benavidez and Charlo specifically
