The punch I saw looked as if it made Canelo's head bend all the way to his shoulder, at an extreme angle. It's possible that your GIF is the punch that I was referring to, but I remember seeing it from a different camera angle and Canelo's head looked like it nearly disconnected from his body. Could be that the camera angle made it look so extreme. Either way, your GIF highlights a good punch.
      Crazy chin on canelo

Yeap,100% fact. And to think G disposed him for being honest to his face, canelo just better boxer overall but some just didn't want to accept that.

So I take it that you purchased the fight for $84.95. Am I correct?

No, I wasn't sold on GGG's level coming into the fight, especially at 168. But it was a good match, I enjoyed watching it. I could see the tactical battle and both guys looked game. I would have paid about $50 for it but wasn't going to pay $85.

I honestly didn't care, at all, about who would 'win' so I didn't score it. I'll have to rewatch it soon with sound off and give my 2 cents. I had it 1-1 through 2 rounds though and not sure how anyone can say Canelo dominated those.

I saw a nice high level chess match through the first 7 or so rounds, with Canelo landing the harder shots in most rounds but GGG still probably landing more shots in most rounds and landing fairly cleanly when he did land.

Last 4 rounds Canelo gassed and GGG found his rhythm, as expected. I have no idea h what people were watching the first 8 rounds or so to be honest.

What was Canelo's most dominant round(s) for you? I'll give them a rewatch now.

And what was so tactical? GGG did nothing in first 8 rounds, he just wanted to survive. In last 4 rounds GGG went for a KO ( probably), but still, he maybe won 3-4 rounds in the fight. A great tactics, lol.

He fought a cautious fight against maybe the number 1 pfp fighter in the game, at that guy's best weight class. He boxed behind the jab and tried to outbox his opponent en route to winning rounds.

This was no Loma-Lopez where Loma hardly threw a punch for 8 rounds. It was a fight were GGG fought behind the jab for the first 2/3rds of the fight, while Canelo tried to win rounds with power shots.

The plan was always to try and expose Canelo late when his stamina slowed down, and GGG's never really does.

I just don't think you guys really know what you are seeing. I think you're too emotional. Fighting to survive, and you come out looking like you weren't touched at all, didn't get dropped or hurt, and took around 10 punches per round. And you finish the fight stronger? Huh lol

It has nothing to do with his trainer. Golovkin is 40 and will never look like he did at his peak.
