Forty percent is a fair figure for Joshua who has lost three of his last four fights. He is still marketable and this fight was always going to be there but it seems now is the time to make it .I'm not so sure building fights are the thing for J. right now , he will not get a better chance than what's being offered here..Joshua has had good camps and doesn't need more than three months , he has more time to gel with Garcia who I assume is staying on.I understand why Fury insists on the now common place rematch clause as J's only chance is to land big.An unexpected Christmas present where the press tour should be a great build up to what should be a great event if some what of a one sided fight.... lets hope not!

Who knows if this happens, but I think it's refreshing that the 60/40 was just straight accepted. Joshua seems aware of his situation...he could make a silly amount of money doing that world tour Eddie mentioned building his career back up. I think this makes way more sense. I'm not a fanboy of any boxers by the way. I'm a fan of the best fighting the best. Who cares who loses?

Would we honestly rather watch ruiz or parker fight fury?

Joshua is a big grown man. Nobody is forcing him to take this fight. Don’t act like fury is taking advantage of anyone. He’s offering Joshua a road back. A road that Joshua wouldn’t have otherwise.

If AJ Wins this fight he’s right back where he was basically. What’s the point in him taking fights against cans? He lost to the “P4P #1” didn’t he? No shame in that.

So joshua should go into fights he is 90% sure of winning, to build confidence? He’s coming of an improved performance, barring his out burst he earned some credibility back for how he did.

If he loses to fury he’s lost to another top, top tier guy. I like to troll his fans, but make no mistake Joshua would beat plenty of fighters still.

He should already believe in himself and take confidence from his last fight. After his post fight presser against Usyk, Joshua was Ruing the fact he lost the fury fight and how “sick it would of been”.

Well here it is, he can take a few weeks off, get back in the gym, gain confidence sparring guys and get back out there.

You get to a point where the fights either happen now or never.

If the fighters don't do it then they're leaving their best career earnings on the table.

Maybe we're at that point now. Fury might only have a year in the sport. Joshua a bit longer but I don't see him turning Fury down. Wilder can't wait and will have to make another big fight. Whyte likely the same. Joyce, Parker, Ruiz, Ortiz all finally realised they couldn't wait forever without taking on their peers.

And I don't think Usyk will run scared of anyone but even the mandatories he'll face will give us some interesting bouts.

I don't doubt Fury sees opportunity. That's the art of match making.

But, unless there are massive mental scars on Joshua from Usyk (which is possible) I think he's potentially an improved fighter from the two fights.

Fury v Joshua is as competitive as it ever was.

Taking away any outside the ring stuff... I see Fury as the best. But I've always thought Joshua was the fighter to beat him.

Not at all. He thinks Joshua is still a top fighter, an impressive name to have on the resume and it’s huge fight that people tell him they want more than most other fights.

he’s English. So is Joshua. When they’re around the U.K., people are inevitably going to ask for that fight.

Has more to do with reminding Joshua that he’s second Fiddle and proving so in this fight.

Joshua will be the underdog and I do agree with it could help him more than hinder. Let’s see. It didn’t seem to help him win against usyk, he was fighting as an underdog in that fight too.

Remember when the UK fanboys said Joshua couldn't "accept" $50 million without in person meetings and a longform contract?

But he can accept 60/40 without in person meetings and a longform contract?

This proves once again Hearn's excuses for turning down the $50 million were bull****.

Warren sent Hearn an official offer. He didn't have his fighter send Hearn an email with a proposed split.

There's also no 24 hour limit to accept the offer.

It is clear who didn't want that fight to happen, he even admitted he ducked Joshua.
