AJ was much more marketable because of the way he looked and the olympic success. There was a perception amongst many that he was the chosen one who was gonna rule the division. Furys dad bod, his tendency to say politically incorrect stuff, how boring Fury/Wlad was, and him ****ing off for years just as the division was heating up....none of that helped either. At this point the tables have turned and he should be making more though, AJ is badly damaged goods.
