Is Devin Haney the ultimate lightweight or does he get smashed by any of the other lightweights? (Feel free to post your answer too, if you want to add further detail.)

Lightweight kings?
Stevenson doesn't fight at lightweight and Tank has a fake ass belt he beat an unranked fighter for. -
I think Haney beats em all at this point.
He's too big for Tank, too elusive for Garcia, and too young and quick for Loma at this stage of his career.
Haney's the king of the division.
Teo was the only threat to him around that divisionComment

He'll be moving up to lightweight very soon. He's explicitly stated that. I imagine in 2023, probably around fall or winter, he'll be at lightweight. Garcia and Lopez (and soon Haney) are 140ers now. Anyway, that's why I put in Stevenson.Comment

There's only one way to find out, so I'm crossing my fingers that Loma and Haney fight first quarter of next year. And for the record, I have Loma beating Haney right now. His style is all wrong for Haney. If Haney can use his size and reach effectively, then maybe. I also believe that Shakur beats Haney. With Tank, I'm not so sure, but not because I think Tank doesn't have the skills but because, like you, I think Tank is too small and doesn't have the footwork that Loma has to close the distance. However, he does have the athleticism and explosiveness. He's capable of stopping Haney.Last edited by Cypocryphy; 08-30-2022, 06:44 PM.Comment

Right now Loma is a stylistic nightmare for Haney. I do think he beats Haney. As far as the rest of the group I think there are other guys who may come up from the rear and suprise us all... IMO Isaac Cruz is that dark horse here. Cruz is the only real pressure fighter in the group. I think he beat Tank... More to the point I think a pressure guy is a direct contra indication for a boxer puncher who wants to fight in the center of the ring. At this point I would put Cruz and Haney as the two front runners... they are the youngest, most willing to fight anyone, and seem to have developed the most chops as compared to the others: Loma would probably lose to Cruz though.
Tank potshots.
Ryan is fragile
Lopez is the first guy to get his man strength and move up in weight... he looked good not great imo.
havent seen Shakir enough...Comment
