I don’t see Ortiz’s hand being very fast at all. He does have a sneaky straight right though. Ruiz is much faster, especially with combination punches. I see Ruiz out working Ortiz and possibly stopping him late. Unless Ortiz hurts him. He still has good power.

Ortiz is a southpaw so u mean jab is it? I think ortiz wins handy boxing at range, definitely a better mover than aj, ortiz stops him in the second half or cruises to a points win

I see this as close. My first feeling, before seeing them at weigh-in, is about 55 Ruiz: 45 Ortiz, so damn close. Ruiz brings youth & aggression. He should be able to overpower Ortiz but he is so often in terrible condition. Ortiz has the skills but Ruiz is pretty smart, Ortiz won't just be able to hit him. Ortiz must be 45 if he's a day, how much longer can he keep doing this stuff? Ortiz' skills, the Southpaw stance, his vast Cuban experience, all that will make it close. If I had to absolutely put money on it I guess I'm wavering to Ruiz but without any confidence one way or the other. If Ruiz came in at, like, 235 in magnificent shape, I would say Ruiz 65: Ortiz 35 but I honestly don't see that happening.

This fight is about Ruiz. It's been made to make Ruiz a genuine contender again. Ortiz is done and this is the best way for him to get paid on the way out. I could see him retiring in the ring.

Ruiz is being given a huge opportunity. He's a guy who pretty much split 12 rounds against Parker, beat Joshua, and even went 12 with Joshua when he'd been on the beer and barbecue for 6 months.

The guy is far more proven than Ortiz. He's younger. He's a former champion. He's a genuine heavyweight contender.

All he needs to have done is some training.

The real question isn't your hands, Ortiz, it's your legs.

The legs looked suspect even before Martin started landing punches and then he had to get up off the canvas to get the W. I feel like just a few years prior Ortiz would've easily iced Martin inside 5 rounds.

Sadly, CW might not be an exaggeration
