I think he's gotten slower, lazier. I think he's actually lost a step. If you watch him fight Klitschko, he was constantly feinting, using head movement, switch stances, making it so Klitschko didn't know what to do and second guess himself. Now he just stands in front of his opponents, looking to setup one big shot. That's how he's fought Wilder in the last two fights as well as Whyte. So I'm seeing a less dynamic, skilled Fury in there than I saw before.
Why is Tyson Fury doing this?

He used different tactics. Your right that the Klitchko fight was masterful in his approach. With Wilder he decided he wanted the KO. But if he has lost a step then yeah... That might be different.

He wanted AJ, now Usyk beat AJ twice. Fury knows he can beat Usyk and that Usyk is the best fight to make anyway in terms of match ups and who he needs to fight for resume purposes. He would probably still be open to fighting AJ afterward just for the money and for completion purposes.
If Fury fights Usyk followed by AJ, he would have fought all the Heavyweights he needed to fight in his era. Klitschko, Wilder 3x, Whyte, Usyk, Joshua. It doesn’t matter if someone has some losses. It’s just to have that feeling of 100% completion, I think Fury would fight AJ. And of course for the money.
But to make that fight better, AJ should stay busy with a good opponent before fighting Fury. Like Sanchez, Joyce, Ortiz if he beats Ruiz which I think he will, maybe even a rematch with Parker. It has to be a top 10 HW to setup the Fury fight.Comment

that was due to the low level the 2 boxers he was facing fought at, he fights according to the level he faces...if you look at any technical boxer they fight according to whom they are facing

that fight ended with Cunningham out cold in the 7th round
The only man to stop Cunningham. A former Cruiserweight isn’t stopping a man like Fury mauling them. It’s not just size, he knows exactly how to use it unlike the timid AJ.

if he cares about legacy he needs to take that fight. I would comfortably favour him to win, but regardless if he walks away now when theres a unification fight that could easily be made and would essentially wrap up this HW era? people will remember that in decades to come when they look back on his career, it will always come up.Comment

He knows how to use it so long as he has a referee that allows him to do so. Much of what Fury is doing is illegal. He should be getting point deductions.Comment

People are putting far too stock in Fury's performance against Cunningham which was many years ago now.

Fury had no respect for Cunningham whatsoever, he was messing around in there, and he was dropped because he dropped both of his hands and was caught square on.
He had no trainer in his corner and wasn't in the physical condition that he was in for Klitschko.
Fury isn't a fool, he won't be messing around against Usyk, he will be 100% ready for business.Comment
