Lomachenko wasn't at the wbc and the belt was vacant. The top two contenders were Campbell and Haney.
Bob pulled strings to get Loma to fight Campbell for the wbc.
That was supposed to be Haney's shot, not Loma's.
And then after they cheated Haney of his shot, they refused to defend against him and requested the franchise aka duck your mandatories belt.
Why wouldn't Haney fans or even neutral fans be pissed about that.
Especially when Haney was given the derogatory email champ belt after being cheated and ducked right afterwards?

He wouldnt have been stripped since unifications ***** mandatories right?
Why? For the same reason the WBA has a super-belt champ. It's to enable the biggest fights without having to delay or screw things up with mandatories. Also, the Franchise belt would allow Loma to move up and down weight classes, make him able to immediately challenge the champion, which is what Canelo did. For Loma, that mean 130, fighting Berchelt at that time and then setting him up to fight either Stevenson at 130 or Valdez. That was the plan.
However, Devin had talked himself into a fight with Loma, who had contacted him and said that they'll talk after the Lopez fight. Devin showed the text messages in a Fighthype video. So even though he had the Franchise video, Loma was planning on fighting Devin, probably to put a stop to all the talk.
It's nonsense to think that this somehow prevented that fight from happening. Devin was never the mandatory challenger. He was a discretionary challenger, requiring a petition and vote by the WBC board members. Not ever was he a mandatory challenger because he was never ranked #1 with the WBC. That's a provable fact. I get so tired of hearing this BS.Bronx23 likes this.

Haney really need to stand on his punches, gave Kambosos too much respect like he has Tank Davis Power or something.
The Uppercut was open for Haney All Night and even he admitted that after the fight but he just wouldn't shoot it for whatever reason. He can beat this man Blind Folded, but I would like to see him at least try to get him out

If you wanna blame anyone, blame the greedy WBC who made up the ****** franchise designation in the first place. They went on to collect two sanctioning fees for the same belt & then told Teo he was the real WBC champ after giving one to Haney.
Yes, an in house fight was easier to make. The WBC does get some blame but when Loma lies about knowing and then gets exposed by Fat Dan , he doesn’t get a pass.
The WBC greed is one thing. Loma asking for that designation to avoid the mando is another.

The wba had a super champ in every divison. The wbc doesn't have a franchise champ in every divison. It was created for 2 ducks. It's a provable fact that Loma asked to be Franchise.
Loma vacated. Point blank period.
