This welteweight division is in an abysmal state right now. Seems the minor players, who are supposed to take over, don't have any clear paths other than wait. I've never seen such passivity. The division used to be the filet mignon of the sport for more than a decade.

If I were Ennis, I would call out Ortiz or that guy from the UK, what's his name? Or if I were Ortiz I would do the same, call out Ennis. F**kc the belts and the PPV nonsense. Why waste time waiting for something that might never happen. I can't stand doing nothing for one straight year. It's so unproductive. I don't know how these guys can do that for long periods of time.

We all know Thurman would never fight these guys. And then the Spence/Crawford hasn't even been announced yet. And assuming it happens in Nov - Dec. That's still five months from now, and then loser/winner are expected to take at least six months vacation, most likely even longer, before taking their next fights. Oh man, that's a year-long wait for these waiting souls.

42 years wasted. You have my pity!
You suffer from hero worship and ASSume too much. Because I have an opinion of someone being soft that automatically in your world view makes me a “do-nothin-ass.” I believe as a former United States Marine yes I can call him “soft.” Champions in this age of boxing are a dime a dozen. Championship status from today’s alphabet soups orgs are money generators not who is the best. Farewell.

Not yet but one thing is certain. Keith won’t fight him because he’d be dispatched within 5 rounds. He knows it, his promoter knows it and his trainer knows it. Runtime no longer has the hunger for boxing. You think Manny touched him up? Boots would literally destroy the guy.

No such thing as a "former" Marine, sir. You should've taken your ignorant ass on somewhere when you had a chance- now you're refusing to disengage because you've clearly made a fool of yourself.

So hard to watch you fail like this but you're such a little idiot and I kinda enjoy watching you spin a web of ******ity! Keep it up, you're impressing us all!

I think boots gives him a tough fight. A prime Thurman stops boots comfortably. There's nothing or anyone on boots resume to suggest he's this great fighter you fangirls are hyping him up to be

Thurman ain't fighting Boots, plain and simple! At this point, he hopes to cash out with a fight with either Crawford or Spence. Stanionis is a more likely match up for Ennis.

Waiting has become normal in this sport. It's like clockwork.
