How Much Legacy is on the line for Joshua?

If Usyk beats Joshua badly, and the once heir apparent drops to a 6-3 record against A-class opposition, does he still rank alongside Fury & Wilder all-Time??? Yes or no? How about if he's blown away quick?

No, probably somewhere slightly above Audley Harrison.

This is a make or break fight for Joshua. He will always be regarded as a talent, perhaps in the manner that Frank Bruno is regarded. Bruno just never made the top tier. But he fought well consistently against decent opposition.

If Joshua wins? well I don't know... then we have to see because we have to look at Usyk's total performance against heavyweight opposition.

Here is an analogy: I love Andre Ward and was hoping Kovalev would become an "ATG" fighter... unfortunately Kovalev petered out, and it would have been great for Ward if he had not. For Joshua, usyk as opposition means a tremendous amount if he wins... Will Usyk show great heavyweight chops? has he? Only time will tell.

I'd consider this a cross roads fight for AJ almost. At least at the highest level where he takes becoming heavyweight champ serious. I think he is though by just changing trainers. The thing is, he's a guy who can put in a great performance 1 night and then lose unexpected the next. That isn't ATG stuff.

I feel like he's a superb heavyweight and a popular addition to the sport. I feel that Ruiz Jr and Usyk are no chumps and could thump almost anybody, but by sharing the ring with each other in a real attempt to settle the issue of the last man standing between the "BIG THREE CHAMPIONS" of the post Klitschko era, that BOTH Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder covered themselves in glory, made lasting history and ......Passed Joshua by!!!

However; we should remember that Anthony Joshua has a MASSIVE opportunity this month to set thing right for his legacy, and the whole world will be glued to the event.

                - - More likely AJ stops him as he was on the way of doing before Usyk landed his hail Mary eye pop that had AJ team panicked in a false alarm fractured orbital shutdown at what proved to be the fulcrum point in the fight.

AJ critics ain't shy about wiping shyte off their mugs to go on disparaging AJ who has done more to bring back The Spectacle in Boxing than any other fighter since Manny retired.

no legacy, that train has already left the station. at this point he is just fighting to stay relevant in the heavy weight division. AJ has to many highs and lows and no consistency when he's had the belts.

If Anthony Joshua beats Usyk, it is the greatest heavyweight win of the past 20 years.

You do understand that Joshua would of beaten every single fighter he has stepped inside the ring with?

Olympic Champion, and two time Heavyweight Champion.

People can mock Joshua all they want, but he is maximizing his talents. In fact he is going beyond his talents.

For a fighter who started boxing late, none of Joshua's achievements are normal.

Tyson Fury in comparison has not maximized his talent, and has just retired after beating a fighter Joshua beat a long time ago.

The fact of the matter is, Tyson Fury is retired. Wilder has no idea what he is doing, and here we have Anthony Joshua. Taking on a unprecedented talent in Usyk, and if he wins? It is the greatest Heavyweight win of the past 20 years.

Joshua's legacy for me is a fighter who has maximized his talent, and has been willing to take on all comers as a Champion. He has been the only Champion of late, who was willing to take on all comers 'He has been a better Heavyweight Champion than Tyson Fury'.

I also actually rate Deontay Wilder as a greater Champion than Tyson Fury, Wilder actually made multiple defenses 'And his wins over Ortiz are underrated'.
