Those overpaid media types obviously don't understand the concept of POUND-FOR-POUND rankings. After conducting an interview with Floyd Mayweather, Jr on ESPN, Brian Kenny said - without equivocation - that "Floyd Mayweather is the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world".
Kevin Iole, in his post-fight article, asserts that it is Mayweather who wears the P4P crown.
It will be interesting to see the Ring Magazine rankings in October.
Cong****, Floyd. That was an impressive performance.Comment

Dominating a pound for pound number 2 fighter the way he did makes Floyd an automatic number 2.Floyd's way better than Manny Pacquiao,Pacquiao is not even in the same leagueComment

Floyd jab was amazing. I really think the lay off benefited him. Best performance since the Gatti fight IMOComment
-
the next fight will determine that.
the dominance was good but floyd needed to stop him or put him on the floor more than once to truly impress.Comment

I think that having Big Floyd in camp was a good thing. FMJ said that FMS kept stressing the jab to him.
Is there a punch in the book that Floyd Mayweather, Jr doesn't throw beautifully?Comment

Bag, thanks for the attempt to mislead . The actual quote below:
LAS VEGAS – There was never any question what was going to happen Saturday in the ring at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Floyd Mayweather Jr. was too big, too fast, too smart and too strong for Juan Manuel Marquez, who had nothing more than a fluke chance at victory.
Mayweather should undoubtedly reassume the throne atop the various pound-for-pound rankings.
Best fighter in the world, though?
Well, that might be another question....Comment

How do become P4P #1 by beating a smaller man? That just makes the whole P4P concept sound even more ridiculous.Comment
