Wrong. Floyd doesn't pick fighters for their size, he picks them to be able to:

    a) Prove something
    b) Set up future fights

Marquez was the p4p #2 and this will definitely set up a fight with Pacquiao.

      Too many...

You can't be too good to face smaller guys. How good was SRL that he couldn't face a smaller guy in Duran, what happend? Fact is, Marquez couldn't deal with Mayweather's speed, jab and defense.
You make it sound like I only said Bigger men. I said "Beating tough competition your own size and larger makes you P4P#1."

Are you telling me Baldomir, Sosa, DLH, Mitchell were anywhere close to Floyd's level? The only wins I give him credit for are Corrales, Hatton, and JLC though I thought he lost the 1st fight.

Which two fights earned Pac the P4P title?

He beat everyone in his ACTUAL weight class which translates into P4P, then weight up in weight to beat on bigger opponents.

I enjoyed Floyd fight tonight, it was just like dissecting a frog back in school. His arsenal was all there, including the MIA jab. I believe the only guy who has a chance to beat (?) Floyd at welterweight is PWill, due to his size, reach and activity atop the ring, and it's not even a sure thing after what I saw tonight...

It's not just 2. He KO'd 2 Hall of Famers in their prime. Hatton, who was undefeated at his most comfortable weight of 140, and DLH who was a Big Middle weight that forced Manny to come up 2 weight divisions.

You don't get the P4P title by forcing a smaller fighter to come up 2 divisions. If you want to fight the P4P#2 at his best, you go down to his weight, not force him to come up to yours.

im a floyd fan but i was dissapointed about his performance i was expecting him to ko marquez but it didn't happen he should be able to do it because marquez was just too small for him. im very disapointed. I think pacquiao was still the no 1 lb4lb until he gets beaten.

Actually, when Pac was fighting top guys in his weight class, Floyd was #1 p4p. Right? Unless you consider David Diaz elite.

                      I have a memory, champ.
