MAYWEATHER is P4P #1 : Brian Kenny, Kevin Iole, Others...

After conducting an interview with Floyd Mayweather, Jr on ESPN, Brian Kenny said - without equivocation - that "Floyd Mayweather is the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world".

Kevin Iole, in his post-fight article, asserts that it is Mayweather who wears the P4P crown.

It will be interesting to see the Ring Magazine rankings in October.

Cong****, Floyd. That was an impressive performance.

He isn't pound for pound number 1...

I expected Floyd to dominate and stop him late...

It was even more one sided than I thought...but he didn't knock him out...

you need knockouts to be p4p num 1? It's not his style to be wide open. He already showed he has power at WW. He's no1 no question about it.

Mayweather needed a KO and didn't get it. The man had EVERYTHING stacked in his favor and still didn't take Marquez out. Much credit to Marquez, no credit to Floyd for not being exciting except for the post-fight interview.

Floyd did great. I think the layoff benefited him much.

But his high praises for Marquez was a justification for fighting a fighter who was picked for his size more than his skills, and a greater justification for Floyd's intentional failure to make 144, which is probably the reason he didn't knock JMM out, so anyone can say yeah Floyd really had a hard time with JMM.

The jab was brilliant. In fact, it was amazing to see Floyd pull out the whole repetoire. Jabs, right hands. Left hooks. Parrying. Pull counters. Shoulder rolls. Beautiful stuff.

It was a very impressive performance. Especially when i consider that his opponent went life-and-death with Pacquiao.
