He was losing and then he wasn't losing and then he was. He was actually even on the cards after 8 but didn't win another round, not because he didn't try to but because he was spent and couldn't.

He's probably telling the truth. Your impression in the ring is different to what people see on the outside.
It isn't like he is saying he won the fight. He goes on to say that when watching the fight, he thought he lost 9 rounds to 3.Comment

Absolutely no chance he thought he was winning. He knew he wasn’t landing and getting lit up with left hands to body and head.
He probably wanted to believe he was winning and Robert McCracken not telling him he was losing helped with that fantasy.Comment

Absolutely!! it is what makes a good corner. Ill take it one step further... My dad boxed second world war Marines... (a while ago) and by his own admission was not very good. He told me he was getting lit up and always his corner could get him directions about what he had to do Specifically... Like 'when he feints throw a left", etc. It never allowed him to become great but he was able to do ok because even in the military were guys who knew the technical aspects... The psychological stuff is window dressing!A few strange comments from Joshua.
Firstly, he didn't think he was losing, someone had to tell him. Secondly, a corner man should give specific instructions, which punches to throw and when, not just say 'go get him'.
Also, he implied that he wasn't hurt at the end of the fight when it looked like he's about to get knocked out. He's saying he was doing a bit of Ali rope a dope. Omg.
