Oldtiz would be the best win on any of these terrible HW's resume
Deontay Wilders best win is SCRAPING by a 40 year old ortiz

Just no.
You can't put Whyte and Ortiz in the same sentence in terms of credibility.
Feel free to rate them on similar levels based on an eye test - but Ortiz simply never proved it. Whyte did.
I don't know how you possibly underrate Wilders win over Ortiz.
Wilder's best win has a huge asterisk. We will never know if his best opponent was actually at that level.
And Ruiz v Ortiz won't prove anything either. Ruiz is a different guy. Ortiz is ancient. It's a fun fight and I'll watch, but it's got no great triangle theory resolution.Comment

Wilder is overrated to make Fury look good and Ortiz is overrated to make Wilder look good. Of the three Fury is the only one thats actually done anything significant outside of that little circle to prove that hes the real deal.Comment

I appreciate your solid assessment/opinion. A very non emotional/fanboy post that I can agree with to a major extent.
Fury lacks a bit in quantity but Wlad, Wilder and Whyte are very good.
Wlad is an A+ win due to the time Fury beat him
Wilder I class a bit lower because obviously Wilder is manufactured but fury did everyone a favour to rid the division of him, B+
Whyte a solid contender B-
AJ has a longer list of wins in that sort of B range but he doesn't have the top end fury does, I also don't "think" fury loses to the guys who beat AJ, I suppose Usyk is sort of questionable but I doubt it.
I'm kind of tired of everyone's weird hatred of AJ lately though, he's a bit boring and he's choked a couple of times in fights now but anyone would think he was Hitler or something and it's a bit silly, he has a good resume and he's a very good fighter, he has his chance against Usyk again and if he wins that then people will see him more as an excellent fighter who has "off nights"
At the end of the day, I think the two best heavyweights are Fury and Usyk. But people take away too much credit from Wilder and Joshua, and I don't get it.. to clarify I am a Wilder fan, but I have to be realistic... Is he the best? No.
While I think Joshua has the best resume, there's still too many asterisks next to everyone's names in the heavyweight division at this time.
I personally think Usyk is the best.... He's at a major disadvantage being more of a natural cruiserweight. His skill makes up for what he lacks in size/power in comparison to the rest of the HW's. His win over Joshua shows there's more than just the 'eye test' or 'styles make fights.' He will beat Joshua in the rematch, and I believe he beats Fury. I think he's much smarter than Fury... but we won't know till they fight.
As crazy as it sounds - Wilder, Fury, and Joshua deserve more credit than they receive, but they can also be grossly overrated at the same time... Strange? I think so. They still have a lot more to prove whether people agree or not. This really is a strange era for HW's compared to the past.
Usyk is a sleeper though.... something big is going to happen.Comment

Imagine thinking that little Usyk with his 7 inch reach disadvantage & standing half a FOOT smaller than Fury has a chance of beating the GK!
After Fury swats Usyk like a fly, i wonder who the next boogeyman will be?Comment

Problem for Usyk vs Fury is I don't know what he does when fury sticks his head down and charges into him like he did against Cunningham, its cynical but fury ABSOLOUTLEY will use his size advantage. Also with usyk I believe he is actually slowing down, he's 35 half way to 36 now and carrying a lot more weight, I noticed it before the AJ fight that his feet have slowed down a bit and his work rate isn't quite the same as it is at cruiser.

During the AJ fight he blatantly took 4 rounds off in the middle of the fight also.
What I see happening is Fury signing an exhibition vs Ngannou, the Usyk fight taking a while to make and Usyk entering the ring vs Fury at 37 years old, more slower footed and less stamina than now even, and not being able to avoid being mauled by the 275lb man
Just what I see panning out.Comment

I just think Usyk is smarter than all the other heavyweights and would train to figure out a gameplan to counter Fury being the bigger bully. But we really don't know right?

Once again, fair assessment. We'll see if/when it happens!Comment

Ortiz has only been beaten once, only by Wilder.
Just no.
You can't put Whyte and Ortiz in the same sentence in terms of credibility.

Ortiz is way off his peak miles off, and is about to face Andy Ruiz Junior.
Lets see if Ruiz Junior can do him.
Andy Ruiz Junior is one of the divisions best fighters. He is better than Dillian Whyte.
Whyte has a top resume. But whenever he has stepped up in levels, to that elite level? He has been beaten badly.
Joshua, Fury & Povetkin. Povetkin during their first fight was still performing at world class to elite level. Whyte deserves big credit for taking the immediate rematch, but Povetkin was not really in his best condition.
If it was not for Wilder's power, Ortiz probably would of beaten Wilder. If Ortiz can last 12 rounds with Andy Ruiz Junior, this proves to me that he was a better fighter than Dillian Whyte.
Whyte has been unable to last the distance with a Elite level fighter. Ortiz is miles off his peak, and is facing off against a Elite level fighter.
