PBC on the other hand love an in house fight, and unless Bud signs up long term, he may find it difficult to land this fight.

    The obstacles come from PBC.
I know this is a whole controversy.

But I think Bud MAINLY left Top Rank because his former boss was not happy with Bud numbers at events and to the extent to saying he was losing money on Bud.

I don't think Bud leaving Top Rank was mainly to fight Spence, maybe partially though.

But you have a good point at PBC obstacles and longterm deal. I am quite certain Bud doesn't want to sign a type of deal where beating Spence he would have to face Boots, WAY too risky for Bud.

At this point in Buds career, I highly doubt he cares who he faces. He probably just wants to be paid well for what he does. Spence probably in the same boat tbh.

A way more likely scenario is that PBC wouldn't want Bud to beat Spence and Boots. Especially without a real long term contract.

I don't doubt any of the boxers would face each other. But I do doubt PBC. If they wanted the fight, it would happen. There's few obstacles.

Who the hell else is going to sign Bud? He left TR and Eddie Hearn already said he’s not interested. Without the PBC Bud might as well retire unless he’s going to bank his own fights.

I agree, makes total sense. But will PBC offer something fair to him? They just don't have a history saying they will.

Again, they are the obstacle here. Bud and Spence are at the point in their careers, I doubt they care who they fight.

If PBC want the fight - it happens.

Depends on what Bud constitutes as fair. He’s not getting 50% nor should he. The Porter fight did a 1.5 million dollar gate with the PPV totaled 10 million. Spence has put up numbers doubling that.

They both want it, Spence was the one that came out publicly calling him out after the Ugas fight, he has always said he wants to unify 147 he has done that with one to go.

If you take away bias and look fairy at both guys its clear to see they both want the fight next, so many promotional decisions marinate big fights, this one has bubbled long enough and now all parties want it, I have no doubts the fight is going down.

And one recent interview via DAZN with Bud to me kind of shows that Bud doesn't look so keen or determined on fighting Spence.

He has mentioned Jermell Charlo several times. ANd Bud said in the formerly-mentioned interview that the fight 'hopefully' happens this year. I just don't detect so much determination on his part to make the fight happen.

He has also said several times that the Spence fight is past him etc.

I know we all want to see this fight happen, but I have that back of the head thing that makes me doubt Bud will follow through to make this fight happen.

                Your thoughts.
These young guys think their worth more than they are. That’s the problem. Charlos are far BIGGER than Spence. He will probably have a hard time hurting the bigger men. Might be able to out point then though.

Anybody that thinks Spence doesn’t want this fight, or that Bud deserves 50-50 is a jabroni that shouldn’t discuss boxing. Fans today are ridiculous. I could see Bud pricing himself out, then fighting Ortiz or something like that. Wouldn’t shock me at all.

I like the idea of Floyd Money Mayweather being the face of the promotion for this fight. That is exactly what this fight needs in order for it to create that extra buzz and stir among casual fans. If Floyd really spend a lot of his time and energy promoting this fight then it would easily sell more than a million pay per view buys.

i can assume the reason it's taken so long, is NOT because of politics,
BUT more to do with crawford beating porter convincingly.

crawford has suddenly started to say spence's name

                      before porter, they were quiet.
