Both want it for sure, it’s a big money fight so naturally negotiations are gonna be tricky.
Does Bud Crawford REALLY want to fight Spence?

He's the only one that's been pushing for it.I have seen (like many fight fans) the demeanors, mannerisms and what both Spence and Bud have been saying about fighting each other for a couple years now. And one recent interview via DAZN with Bud to me kind of shows that Bud doesn't look so keen or determined on fighting Spence.
He has mentioned Jermell Charlo several times. ANd Bud said in the formerly-mentioned interview that the fight 'hopefully' happens this year. I just don't detect so much determination on his part to make the fight happen.
He has also said several times that the Spence fight is past him etc.
I know we all want to see this fight happen, but I have that back of the head thing that makes me doubt Bud will follow through to make this fight happen.
Your thoughts.Comment

This is why the fight doesn't happen. Because fans like yourself, presumably PBC fans/Bud haters, don't want to see it.
Don't worry about the money, IF you actually want to see the fight, make posts encouraging PBC to make an offer that neither can refuse.
It's clear this is just a basic hater thread.
Btw, I don't care who wins, I just want the fight.Comment

I live in America and I’m a capitalist and I understand how business is conducted. Everyone wants to see this fight but the people involved have the right to make a profit on it. I think both sides should take less up front and more on the backend. That’s the only way this fight gets done. And when both sides are pissed off about the money then you know you have a fair deal.

Hey I feel you.
At this point in Buds career, I highly doubt he cares who he faces. He probably just wants to be paid well for what he does. Spence probably in the same boat tbh.
A way more likely scenario is that PBC wouldn't want Bud to beat Spence and Boots. Especially without a real long term contract.
I don't doubt any of the boxers would face each other. But I do doubt PBC. If they wanted the fight, it would happen. There's few obstacles.
But I don't hink Spence is in the same boat as Bud as far as not caring who they face. Spence has been showing in the division that he wants all the belt, not so much with Bud.
I don't think either that PBC sees this all as Bud beating BOTH Spence and Boots. I actually think Boots has a HIGH chance in beating Bud.
I feel your point though.
I honestly see it, as I mentioned before through the years of things said by Bud, that Bud doesn't seem so determined and aggressive in seeking the fight with Spence.Comment

Good points.
Unfortunately, other big promoters are not interested in Bud, I think it's mainly because of his personality, doesn't engage much with fans and media and is just too serious, LOL.
Shouts out to the champ though, amazing fighter.
But yeah I think his best bet is PBC but he seems kind of reluctant on that too. Bud confuses me sometimes, LOL.Comment

Facts,
And putting numbers aside, Spence has most belts. Quite ignorant and senseless is Bud demands 50%, so unrealistic and he has to humble down and his people in his team need to wake up and smell the coffee beans when it comes to common sense business-wise so this fight happens.
This is why I admire fighters like Devin Haney, he took a way less percentage to fight for undisputed, having only one belt and took the offer like a real champ.

I feel you.
They both want it, Spence was the one that came out publicly calling him out after the Ugas fight, he has always said he wants to unify 147 he has done that with one to go.
If you take away bias and look fairy at both guys its clear to see they both want the fight next, so many promotional decisions marinate big fights, this one has bubbled long enough and now all parties want it, I have no doubts the fight is going down.
I have more doubt on Bud's side on really wanting this fight. But hey, I hope this fight happens this year and I hope we don't hear something like "Ah the deal wasn't right, I didn't get 50%" blah blah blah, from Bud.

I see your point.
I personally think Mell smashes Bud but hey, all speculation at this point.
Most likely Bud never gets the Mell fight because Mell is tied up in mandos for a while.Comment
