It’s also extremely outdated from an era happily passed. And who is “black” and who is not changes from nation to nation. There are people on here who claim several Cuban fighters are not “black” because they are Cuban and speak Spanish even though those Cubans most assuredly have more African blood and less European blood than the highly mixed Foundational Black American who is on average 25% EuropeanComment

True, cubans are cubans no matter the race or mixing in sports but in society, it´s different. You need to understand the Hispanic culture, ask your boricua girl. In Cuba, you are called Black if you look pure Black, with zero guilt, just like in any other Hispanic country, including Brazil. Mixed Blacks don´t refer to themselves as Blacks but Mulato ( 50-50 ), could be mixed with Natives too, jabado ( 25% Black ). The one drop rule exists within the Anglo people in the US., not in Hispanic culture. Paradoxically, in the country were even Collin Powell is considered Black, and racism was part of society for a long time, African-Americans or however you wanna call yourself ( Maybe Subsaharan-Afro-American?), Afro-Americans heve succeeded the most, specially in sports and entertainment.

Eddie Hearn Questions Why Munguia WON’T Fight Demetrius Andrade
February 22, 2022 by Jeepers Isaac
“Why does no one say to Jaime Munguia or Golden Boy, ‘Why don’t you fight Demetrius Andrade for the world middleweight title?'” Hearn continued. “Why do you think Jaime Munguia and Golden Boy will NOT fight Demetrius Andrade?
“What has boxing become?” Hearn said in reacting to being told by the DAZN hosts that Munguia and Golden Boy won’t fight Andrade because he’s a tough fight for them.
“They [Munguia & Golden Boy] won’t fight him [Andrade] because he’s a tough fight. Wow!” said Hearn.”It’s for the world middleweight title. He [Munguia] was the light middleweight champion, and he moves up to become a two-weight world champion."
Promoter Eddie Hearn is stomping mad about highly ranked Jaime Munguia choosing not to challenge WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade for his title.

Bums? Ypu sound like a casual. Munguia has been fighting better opposition than Charlo, who doesn´t fight anyone. Justa having a " name " doesn´t make you dangerous. Look at their records, Munguia has a better one, and by the way ANYONE can knock you out, with a name or not. Munguia is moving up in weight and is figjting Kelly, who tough and ranked.Comment

I think it's quite the opposite, GBP is keeping him afloat. Mungia isn't a great fighter and still extremely green. That little ass Hogan guy beat the brakes off of Munguia, imagine what a Charlo would do to him??Comment

Green? He became a world champion over four years ago. I think Charlo would certainly be the favorite against Munguia at this point, but I don't think Charlo winning is a forgone conclusion. I would argue that each guy would be each other's toughest competition so far. Munguia is in the peak of his physical prime. He needs to make serious moves right now.Comment
