he wasn’t reaching for the stars. He thought he assessed the risk correctly as he’s done for years, based on bivols last 2 performances and was wrong. As for him still deserving to be #1, name one fighter ever who got their ass whooped by a significant underdog and kept their pound for pound slot. Be real.

Agreed! Bivol was a cherry pick gone wrong. I was ringside for Bivol/Smith. The dude always was the real deal, he just played it safe in a few of his fights. I am hoping for Bivol to unify against the Smith/Beterbiev winner. Bivol will be a top 5 guy when he outboxes either of those dudes.

Agreed. Bud should be #1. I remember Lomachenko saying a few years ago that he considers Bud #1 back when Canelo was on top. Now that Canelo has dropped, Bud deserves to take that #1 spot.

I wouldn't consider Tyson #1 P4P either. Simply because he has a big size advantage over every opponent he faced. That defeats the purpose of P4P, which is to compare different fighters as if they were the same size. If Fury wasn't so physically big, he wouldn't be so dominant like he is. Not to take anything away from his skills, which is impressive for a man of his size. But the fact he always has such a big size advantage doesn't make him the P4P #1 in my eyes.

Also, how is Bivol lower than Canelo? Bivol just dominated Canelo. But then again, Canelo is the naturally smaller fighter, so I can see why some might still consider him higher on the P4P rankings.
